Black deerskin, that’s been in my closet for 20 years…add spots, studs and maybe stars….and there is a Christmas goth(maybe punk with the stars) fantasy!

Chuck, you’re the most enthusiastic presenter I’ve seen, your excitement is contagious I don’t even have a kit and I’m roaring to go in to my shop and make stockings. Great job and looking forward to the next project, Cheers!!

You can use hair clippers to trim down the wool on any project that has a shearling lining. I learned a lot since I started leather work from your videos so thank you again!

OLD LEATHER SMITH here, Great Job Chuck. Even better idea. Suggestions, Bees wax on prongs and they R easier 2 remove from the leather, you can also Strop then it goes in easier and out. About 6 years ago I made Pointseta flowers out of leather of course and dyed them Red with a green center. My wife still shows them as well as the members of the family. Just another idea 4 U Chuck. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃

Chuck, great job as usual!! That tape sticking out would drive me absolutely NUTS! If I couldn’t peel it off to the point of not seeing it, I would be tearing out those stitches to get at the tape and then after and only after it looked clean and matched the rest of the boot could I sew the boot up. After all, it is the most important thing to make it right because your quality is your best selling device. I’m sure you will agree. Some people will call it being fussy, but it’s your reputation that’s at stack! Best regards, Richard……

I am thinking out of the box... When you cut the wool, make each side 1/2 to 3/4 longer on each side. When you Stitch the leather, LEAVE the leather flaps unsewn. after you sewed the boot, bring down the wool flaps, and sew them separately! then you do not have to squeeze everything together! It will look even better, and the wool "tube" can then be folded over the boot! to complete the project!! You can always secure the wool trim to the boot with a few stitches of sewing thread!

Looks great. Tip for the fur on, cut always from the back that way the hair itself doesn’t get cut and will always be the right length and look natural. Same technique for fake fur fabric etc.

i know its nothing to do with the video and maybe a weird question but some my boxing gloves used to have a nice sheen to the leather but have dulled down due to hitting the bag etc what would you recommend to get that shine/finish back but be durable at the same time as of course im gunna be hitting bag with them?
