See, I have trying to tell you since day one. You have to check out her other mvs. I found Korean music in 2014 and the first two Korean albums I purchased digitally on iTunes (I only own BTS physical albums) were Wondaland by MFBTY and Shoebox by Epik High. I used to use Melon so I bought all of Epik High, MFBTY, Drunken Tiger, TigerJK, Yoon Mi Rae and Tablo's music that they had. You should check out the track Maze by Epik High when you get a chance. Have a great day!
reaction to now united who would think that love It's a band of members from around the world I really hope you see it and they have great voices Come on, please do it Come on, please💔💔😢
Yoon Mirae faced racial discrimination as a mixed race child in Korea On the other hand, Tiger JK witnessed the hatred and violence during the 1992 Los Angeles Riots as an Korean-American teen in LA I really appreciate Hip-Hop music and culture that brought them together
Her name is actually Tasha and she’s been really inspired by Lauren hill she’s an OG in the game since the late 90s! Tasha and her husband drunken tiger are the jay and Beyoncé of korea. There is also an English version to this song too.
I love yoon mirae 😭 I'm so happy you reacted to this song. I hope you'll check out her album she released in July called gemini 2 if you havent already 🤗
Black Happiness is by far, BY FAR!! My favourite Yoonmie Rae song, it’s so powerful and she is so strong. I love the message of the song and I feel you don’t even have to be black to love or relate to this song it’s that powerful. And I’m sorry to hear that the kids used to bully you for being your self Dezzy.
Great reaction 🙌🏽 you should react to Lee Michelle without you. Her voice is BEAUTIFUL. She’s also mixed. Mom Korean and dad black, but she grew up without a father. She was on kpop star, and even trained under YG but she left due to something. Without you is like a typical break up song, but the video show’s hate and discrimination to mixed people growing up in Korea (anywhere honestly) you should react to it..... pleease 😁
Tasha asks Yoon Mi Rae and her husband Tiger Jk aka Drunken Tiger were both part of 'The Movement' that brought hiphop to Korea and made it more of a prominent genre. That's why they are called the king and queen of hiphop and are seen as legends in Korea and by other artists. Also fun fact Tasha started ad a singer in a girl group but things didn't go right and then she started rapping and met her bae.
I have to say that I never had to deal with racism at my school. Although it was a white school, my school was so strict that if they even even smelled a racist comment your parents would be called en after that you would be expelled. Nobody wanted to be expelled because here (the netherlands) you get a fine if you miss to much school. Sorry you had to deal with racism Dezzy!!😔
I spent a month in the Netherlands last year, and I wish I could come back again. Even when I was in small rural villages where I was the only brown person around, I felt so much more welcomed and treated with respect than I ever did back home. I really miss being there.
@@reiakari I am so glad you had a good experience! I have to say that if you want to come back, come when its summer (festival time) I heard it's going to be a good and very hot summer this year and it's getting better every year.
@@reiakariI know this comment was 4 years ago but as a dutch caribbean born and raised in the netherlands I got called the N- word pretty frequently at school or just on the streets before the age of 12. Theyre still racist not everything is peachy 😅
Dezzy, Thank you so much for reacting to this you are a TRUE KING💜💜 Pleaseeeeeeee react to Insooni and Lee Michelle trust me you’ll love them both. (I kinda get the same vibe from all 3 women) They’re truly talented and deserve wayyyy more!
I saw your attempt to do an Infinite reaction...I love you so much Dezzy, bruh I was so happy...even if it was blocked. Thank you for trying! Please react to Infinite's The Eye or Bad, or Tell Me. I promise you won't be disappointed. Thank you again for trying. Please do try again, Infinite gets slept on so much.
such a classic. easily my favorite yoon mirae song. im also half black and half asian and growing up...one grade i was sitting with the black kids and then in high school i was with the white kids. with the same white kids that made fun of me for my cornrows in the 3rd grade. finding out who i was (at least back then) was tough but the one thing that stayed consistent was my love for kpop. she speaks facts, music knows no color. thanks for sharing dezzy ♥
First time seeing you cry Dezzy, such a precious moment! For another throw-back thursday, I suggest Insooni and her song "Father". Just like Yoon Mirae, her mother is Korean and her father is an African-American soldier. She also suffered from harsh discrimination, but she's also one of few Korean artists that performed at the Carnegie Hall.
Hits close. I'm also mixed korean and I favor my african american side more. Especially with the rise in K-Pop people accuse me of being a koreaboo because no way someone that looks like me can be "something other than black", but at the same time my skin is "too light to be full black". I'm constantly being judged based off of something I cant control. :/
With Yoon Mi Rae, I love this song, “Pay Day” with her rapping away with Drunken Tiger. And this ballad, “Incomplete”, with her sultry voice. You might want to check them out. I like your TBT series.
In 80s, people in Korea really discriminated Black people... Even her father was US army! People considered woman who dated with u.s army as prostitutes and it was really powerful stereotypes..(Prostitutes was illegal except for us army at that time.) I can see how she struggled in this society. But now everyone know she is the best singer and respect what she went through. I feel sad for her and at the same time really respect her
I really be crying every time I listen to this song yo 🤧😭 Yoon Mirae is literally the best, her voice is like an angel coming from heaven, she is so powerful, I love her!!! You should react to her song You & Me ft. Junoflo ❤ also listen to her album Gemini, it is sooo good 🤧 I literally live for her voice. She is one of the best vocalist! Also I truly recommed listening to the songs she does for kdramas (osts), they are maddd good!
Dezzy, if u want some more of those heart tugging good quality songs, check out Drunken Tiger - 8:45 (about his grandma), or Drunken Tiger - Welcome To The World (about his boy being born). And check out Drunken Tiger - Monster (english) for some legendary RAKIM. #TBT

Hi Dezzy, I’m a new sub and I was waiting to drop my first comment when I had something profound to say then I saw this reaction and being that I’ve heard the song I had to watch because I am always curious about how reactors to K-pop would interpret this song and what opinions they might have on the subject matter. Yoonmirae is THE hip hop queen of Korea and there is no argument.
"I'm bout to turn this camera off *wipes eye* cause I'm a thug"
The undisputed Queen of K-Hiphop. No one comes close bruh.

No, seriously tho, the first time I heard saw the MV I cried my eyes out. Tho I grew up in Brooklyn,NY ( which of course is very diverse) I always struggled to find my fit mostly because I found myself code-switching my entire school career.
