Ni, the orcas did it by themselve. They bite the walls of their tanks. That is a stereotype behavior caused of depression and boredom. Like animals in zoos who are walking the same circle in their enclosure day by day. 😢
@@Kenichi2566 That is not a "well known fact" as its actually not true. The whales break their teeth by chewing on bars and concrete out of boredom. Then the trainers have to drill them out to prevent infection. As they cannot move the whales to a sterile environment to conduct full medical procedures, those drilled out teeth are then left open and exposed to the environment and must be painfully flushed out several times a day to prevent an infection from killing the orca.
@@Kenichi2566 I can see you care, but it is from chewing on concrete and medal. They wear down the teeth and sometimes breaking them. It's called boredness, or like she/he said, stereotypic behavior. Except the tanks open to the ocean. I don't know if you've heard of this, but its just a place wild orcas and dolphins can go and leave as they please so they're not in captivity
These animals travel far too much and require such a mass amount of space that this is animal abuse in my book. Doesn't matter if they belong to the sea, we need to respect them as the living beings they are... they're so smart too, what a sin 😢
Well for someone who notice that the whale’s fin is flopped over here it is: The whales also often swim in a repetitive circular pattern. Other potential causes for fin collapse may be dehydration and overheating of fin tissue due to warmer water and air temperatures, stress due to captivity or changes in diet, reduced activity that causes low blood pressure, or age.
@@athinasideri5654 No,... Orcas can Not survive alone. Maybe they would find a group that adopt Them but that is nearly Impossible. So you remember what happend with Keiko from the Film "free Willy"? These whales need to be let in the wild. Animals, aquatic or not. Performing animals is never right. They dive to 100-500 feet daily or several times a day , swim forty miles daily. These tanks may seem massive to us, yet to the whales, they are small as a fishbowl. Also, since seaworld parks are in warmer climates, the whales’ fins bend over.
They are absolutely suffering. Orcas are wild animals and should never be captive in these small pools. They are intelligent and social animals with emotions and capabilities similar to ours. No marine park can provide enrichment or stimulation they need to thrive or survive. Just like us, they can become frustrated, stressed, bored, etc. They deserve paradise more then we do and that's the wide open ocean, that is were nature intended for them. These animals only survive around the age of 20, whereas those not in captivity can live up to, 100 . That's if they don't commit suicide first.
Whales in captivity couldn't survive if they were realeased because of the changes. Their conditions are not bad at aquariums and even though they do not live really good, some dolphinariums make them quite happy, and many have lived more than in their habitats. I am not saying captivity is 100% okay, but this never ending hate towards aquariums needs to stop.
You know what's ironic? Orcas are actually in the dolphin family: not the whale! They are cetaceans like smaller dolphins and whales but because they are bigger they are often referred to as whales even thought taxonomy still calls them dolphins.
They’re fins are bent cause of the gravitational pull. Wild killer whales spend a large portion of their lives underwater while captive killer whales are above water a lot. Plus their tanks aren’t deep enough so the gravity weighs their fins down. But if their fins were laying flat down against their sides, than that means they are unhealthy. These orcas are healthy because there is a curve in they’re fins while if they were sick, it would be laying flat down against their side. All the whales are usually healthy at Seaworld. Yes some die and I think captivity isn’t ok but at least the trainers try their best to take care of them.
@@EquineMetalhead sea world should not have wild Orcas in captivity. I know why their fins are bent. The tanks aren’t deep or vast enough. They should be out. Free. This is wrong and you can’t tell me you don’t agree?!😢

But doesn’t everyone forget they have a PURPOSE They should be released not because they are cute and intelligent Those are dumb lame excuses God tier excuses are like they have a actual purpose where there disturbs nutrients to the deeper parts of the sea

This is what I call human selfishness. Those orkas are miserable. They are meant to live in the ocean not in this tiny basin. If this orka gets fed up one day he might be aggressive and kills one those stupid trainers. And I can imagine their reaction: shoot him and kill him. If you really want to know who the monster is , see how this orka is treated and being abused. Humans are a threat to this planet.
@@xBloodxFangxyou dont know what you're talking about. Orka is not only the correct and original spelling but it is also the Dutch spelling. Not everyone is English fyi 🙄
@@charlesthomas5956so you're saying one generation later an animal is automatically domesticated bc it was born in captivity. It's no longer wild and has lost generations of instinct. Its body no longer needs to do what it was designed to do. I dont know which Orcas these are rn so I can't dispute whether they were born in captivity or if their tank leads to the ocean (which I very much doubt) but even if they were born in captivity - thats cruel in itself and is a whole other discussion. Sea pens is the first part of the solution that is way better than breathing highly chlorinated water, doing clown tricks for the clowns that pay to see them and being fed dead fish which isn't even close to their actual diet no matter what sub species they are.
@@Trainer_Rachel Thats true that Limited time below the surface creates less support for the dorsal fin but bends are made from the orca's repetitive circle it makes.

It's amazing being able to see such marvelous animals up close, but it's also unfair to keep them locked up just for our amusement. They should be freed
I can tell you everything about these two orcas and can also tell you anything you want to know about them as well. This was never right, still isn't right and never will be right. You don't have to be an expert to know that these animals do suffer. These aren't children playing in a pool. Don't let this short clip fool you. Research orcas in captivity if you want to know what Sea World doesn't want you to know. The story behind them is they are forced to do tricks for food and they suffer.
It breaks my heart a little seeing their fins like that. It shows that theyve spent so many years in captivity, maybe since birth. These apex predators should be able to swim free and be what nature intended them to be. A majestic apex predator, not a circus act.
Killer whales are really wholesome, and all when it comes to marine animals. Killer whales are my 3rd favourite animals because I love sharks and all of that 💗 But when it comes to them being hostage. It really breaks my heart into a million grey shards.. You can see the dorsal fin is curved. Some people will say this is just gravitational pull, but this can also be a sign of dehydration, anxiety.. and lots of other things. This can also be especially because their pod/tank isn't deep enough. You can also see their teeth. This could probably be grinding.. 💔The teeth could've been grinded so that the orcas dont grab the swimmers and hurt them.. Just let them free! Have you already seen how much hate you've gotten? They aren't cute they are vicious predators in the wild and look how tiny the tank is, listen to them being told what to do cause they are training them to do this to make money off people who are oblivious or non caring like you for the forced kiss. Not to mention look at them.. they aren't healthy and are on the smaller side of size plus there fins won't do that in the wild this happens when they are not properly able to care for themselves and in small enclosures and heat, they aren't dolphins or manatees they shouldn't be in Florida at all. It like the exact opposite of how they should live and how they are able to be happy
they're so cute. What part is cute? That they're confined in a sub standard tank, that their tank is so small they can't actually swim and they cant dive deep enough to escape the sun so they're constantly sunburnt and have to be painted black for foolish clowns who can't see horrific abuse even when it's staring them in the face. Is it cute when they're held down to have their teeth drilled out? The only cute thing about Orcas in captivity is when they attack.
Free all the dogs in everyones living room! These whales are fine. Everyone is projecting, assuming they know the difference. People have somewhere to interact, learn and fall in love with the ocean. The movie has everyone group thinking. Wheres the outrage for elephants, giraffes and Bison. Zoos full of them to educate and enjoy.
So it's all about you, and your needs to learn from them and gock at. No Wild animal belongs in captivity, Their physical and psychological well being is at stake here. It's not fair for these animals have to live in small pens to amuse humans. Babies and toddlers are funny and cute. Why don't we stick them in an enclosure too for our enjoyment. If you want to learn about them go see them in the wild, or open your laptop. Zoo's and marine parks don't have enough knowledge to educate. They are given a script to read from which is nothing. As for dogs, they need human companionship. They can't survive without people, I think I'll keep mine close to me. Don't want to get a knock on my door for someone to tell me my dog was hit by a car, killed by a coyote, or is lost. Stray dogs will die from the elements or starve to death. Did you ever see it that way? Dogs are not wild animals, orcas are, and living without humans give them a better chance of a longer, healthier, and happy life.
@@keepwildinthewildtruly said. I see these apex predators kept in a closed captivity and it breaks my heart. Same with beluga whales. Just cause they’re cute, friendly and harmless to human doesn’t mean they deserve to be kept for show. People don’t get in their head that these are marine creatures. No matter what, human beings can never provide them their natural environment.
And how much of a fool do you need to be to compare them with dogs. They are wild animals for god’s sake and dogs, well dogs are domestic. There’s a difference. Dogs cannot survive in the wild or if freed. They need to be with humans for their survival. Go see a street dog and think what would he ask for if he would be able to communicate. To be taken care of would be your answer. On the contrary, all wild animals need freedom and their natural environment
the outrage for zoo's, other wild animals is everywhere. If you're against captivity it doesn't just extend to Orcas. Who said where that ppl are only concerned for Orcas in captivity??? You realise this video is about Orcas and not Giraffes right?
Killer whale. These guys are cute because they are. There was no attack in the wild since they were released the ocean. We had to say the last goodbye to them
It’s so sad because orcas have only ever attacked humans in captivity and people act like they are deadly animals about to snap because of that, but in reality they are wild animals that are not meant to be kept in captivity. In all the cases of orcas attacking humans in captivity they have been horribly abused and it’s not the orcas fault. And the fact they there has been little to no recorded attacks in the wild really shows this
Captivity is awful please don't encourage this type of showmanship they are starved for tricks have fake teeth scaring and many other horrific emotional tramas including separation from their pods these wild beauties are also heavily medicated just to sustain the deprived conditions they are confined too... Take a look at both of their dorsil fins 🥺🥺🥺
The orca whale is one of the most marine animals captive in aquariums. There fins flopped over and the amount of treatment they have is ungrateful and terrible. It depends on the aquariums health on the animals and exhibits but sea world… I’ve went there and I’ve seen the orcas and dolphins performing themselves to large audiences and swimming around in a tiny unnatural habitat ( exhibit ) only about I say about 4 inches wide and is a round pool. Orcas and dolphins including all animal species whether in captivity or in the wild should be treated and protected like a real actual organism ( being ). It breaks my heart to see animals being mistreated in captivity and staff workers not protecting them , preserving them and treating them nicely. Sea world might say there trying to protect wild spaces but it only seems like there making an animal circus even those were banned some year ago. I don’t get why the animals ( in aquariums and sometimes zoos ) get treated so badly and not get as treated as the guests.

They go in and drill the teeth right to the nerve, 'with no Novocain, and have to flush them 3 times a day. They don't even fill them because they know they're just going to keep doing it.

People calm down they are not suffering dolphinariums are not paradises but are not prisons either.
😢 their teeth are worn down. Fins bent. This should be illegal. 😢

No. A orcas collapsed dorsal fin doesn’t do anything about their mood. It’s because of the lack of water pressure. Blackfish is lying to you.

Dogs are not wild animals, orcas are, and living without humans give them a better chance of a longer, healthier, and happy life.
@@keepwildinthewildtruly said. I see these apex predators kept in a closed captivity and it breaks my heart. Same with beluga whales.
