- Hey guys! In todays video I put together a small glass container terrarium. I love making little plant terrariums like this bc they are so wasy & fun to do. I also enjoy watching them frow in over time. I didnt show it, but i also added springtails to keeo things nice & clean.

Love the outcome. Just an idea when using cork lids. They are easy to drill so you can install small LED lights in them to get a down light effect

One thing that will help you with removing the glare is getting a polarising filter for your phone/camera.

Hi, your terrarium is beautiful very talented. Question if I was to use a big terrarium for a small plant in a pot can you take it out and grow outside the terrarium ? Thanks
Hey! Yes you can, but it would require a little bit of an acclimation period. Moving it from high humidity to lower humidity could cause leaves to drop or get ugly
Loved this! Where can we buy moss and tiny ferns? I live in Phoenix so unfortunately can’t find much moss in the wild haha
I got the moss on Etsy, just searched up terrarium moss & there’s lots of options!
The ferns were scavenger plants I found in other pots so they were free 🤌
Do you have problems with stink bugs? I live in Kansas City Mo. I am starting my basement greenhouse. Am very excited. Am seeing a lot of sinks bugs. Again am retired after 38 years of working, with Hallmarks cards. God is good. Amen 🙏 Thank you for your time. Amen 🙏
1:00 What is the water dispenser device? And why is that better than just pouring water (since you're mixing)? It seems messy and aggressive considering what you're trying to do (much dust/particulate), but I'm also keen to learn

I love terrariums. I noticed you didn't use a drainage layer and no springtails. Please explain why. Also, what is aqua soil? Is it the same as Fluval? I'm collecting things to build a terrarium a little larger. Thank you.🪴
Thanks for watching! I added springtails off camera the next day. I am pretty sure fluval & the stuff I used here are the same/similar things but I’ve never used fluval so I’m not 100% sure. 😅 I just run it through an old coffee grinder & so long as the fluval would grind down, it’ll work the same

tip: at michaels in the fairy garden section (and cheaper on temu) they sell tiny mushrooms on wire that you can stick into the substrate in your terrarium, makes it 100% cuter

Fungus gnats. That’s what I always get when I do a terrarium. It’s been awhile and this video has made me feel like another attempt at it.
I had fungus gnats in one of my terrariums and I took it outside twice and freed the little critters and haven't seen them since.
What is the gloopy stuff on the back for? I have never seen this used.
So that I can plant moss into it & it’ll end up looking like a moss wall
