Rugal is behind the KOF, using it to take control of the fighters by using the Black Crystals. Kyo and Terry cooperate to try and take down Rugal. However, they are forced into a desperate situation when faced with Rugal's overwhelming power and stone-cold killer instincts.

Kitana Edenian one can make warp copies of divine moves reason dark barrier failed against psycho ball it has dark chi rather divine power
Not everything of rugal came from orochi I fact in this bout his orochi power was dormant until next ep in which it awakes

for the second season, I would like you to use the original designs for each of the characters, without altering the original story of the game.
It's too early to speculate on what the story they'll follow, I'll be happy if they at least go up to the NESTS arc. I just wanna see New Face team, Krizalid, Yamazaki, and a few others. But they did spend 24 episodes on just the original Fatal Fury and KOF'94.

Promethium SNK got bought out by a Chinese company called Leyou Millenium a while back. You know how much China loves KOF so making more seasons would likely please fans

Looks like they renaacted Rugal's early concept of stealing other people's moves like Terry's Crack Shoot and Heidern's Cross Cutter, which was never implemented due to the limits of the Neo Geo hardware at the time. So he was only able to use Kaiser Wave and Reppuken, with his original moves to pack up. I wish Rugal could come back and with the advanced technology it would be possible to finally make the original concept reality. Nice and enjoyable episode.

Totally agree. This would be crazy. I hope they bring Rugal back in this new arc.
Actually, he have the ability to "steal" power. It was never implemented because it was obviously overpowered, so he had only the signature moves of the bosses characters, like Geese and Krauser.

Again good to see more of Rugal, the highlight, in this episode, bringing back his ability to use the fighters moves that was cut from '94, the God press and the Genocide Cutter, although the latter didn't get as much fanfare as I would've liked. Was a surprise with the other team members joining the fight but it was great seeing Benimaru do electrigger on Rugal, besides the latter he was the highlight this episode. Odd that Mai and Yuri were present and not King though considering they were all knocked out (not gonna mention Ryo and Robert too much again but seriously why weren't they or Daimon here?). Team Super Heroine feeling liked the producers favourite but it was a cute nod to have Athena team up with the characters she always wanted to team up with.
Next episode seems more Kyo vs Rugal which I'm down for (hoping Benimaru and DAimon come in the end well) and we're finally getting Iori but I'm expecting a teaser at most for him to "hype up"2 his return for the next series(Awaken at the time).
About King: Mai and Yuri must have left her in the care of Daimon while they followed with Athena to help Kyo and Terry in the fight against Rugal.

Not bad, but he should have been wearing his coat for this whole episode and gotten it blown off at the end. This was obviously just phase 1 boss Rugal, not Omega Rugal as his appearance would suggest.
Its a strange mix. TKOF'94 Rugal did not have a glowing eye like Omega Rugal.

The Queen of Fighters. Somehow, I was expecting these by just watching the female fighting performance shown in previous episodes...Mai left Andy? She was more tired than him...unconvincing.
peposo7 Well Andy isn’t well received of a character. Face it, he is the beta male of Team Fatal Fury. Also Mai in this series is fed up with him. Even in the ads you can clearly see that. This is a different interpretation of Mai. This series isn’t canon to the games canon.
