He headlined Glastonbury on his own and people were complaining that it was pre recorded because they couldn't see the band. Nah dude. Look at his feet pressing those pedals like his life depends on it. Incredible artist.
I’ve seen him live multiple times, even when he was opening for Taylor. At least 4/5 times. Dude has only ever used his loop pedal as guitar. The most involvement is if he breaks a string on the guitar and they bring him another one 😂😂
I remember that and I THINK that's one of the reason he quit Twitter cause of all the negativity and hate. People just didn't know/understand what he really does.
Ed in concert is unbelievable. I didn’t know how he’d pull it off or if it would be boring with just him. Dude…it was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to! What you saw right there he did for 2 hours, plus a light and picture show, and no one missed a whole band one bit.
I saw him in 2011 when he was opening for Taylor Swift and I didn’t even know who he was. I left that concert thinking he was the best performer I’d ever seen. I’ve been to two more of his shows and he doesn’t disappoint.
and he was only about 21 here! He's 32 now, and ya know he only gets better with age and experience! Ed is PHENOMENAL live - he basically does this for 2 hours straight! 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah, i totally agree. I even enjoy the sound of this cheap ass martin over the expensive lowdens he plays now. I understand why he plays Lowden, the person who inspired him to pursue music, Damien Rice(also an amazing artist) is know for his Lowden, but when Ed just used those cheap Martin X minis it just felt so much more visceral.
I saw him perform this live last summer in Chicago at Soldier Field. There were like 85,000+ people there. (the attendance record was broken) It was absolutely incredible! He is one of a kind.
Always blown away each time I hear this. Some skills from his busking days. WhenI cirst used to listen to him he was always rapping and later I was suprised tk hear him sing too. Now I think he is maybe more known by non fans, for his singing. He had a line that he can't see him being anythibg but a singer songwriter. Yes ut is in his blood. Greatfor music lovers :) Thanks for reacting to this. Liked.
I’ve seen him live 3 times and it’s just like this for every song. It’s amazing how loud and rocking he can get a stadium with just him, his guitar and his loop pedal. Definitely one of the most impressive performers I’ve ever seen live. I’m telling you, he is sooo good!
This entire song is just Ed in a studio, by himself.... beats, vocals, guitar, change ups, ....I mean... nobody in the game can say I did everything, everything by myself..... Em, and 50 had Dre... And just so folks know...he was living on Jaime Foxx's couch when he first got a deal. He's fucking amazing. People sleep on Ed Sheeran....but he's crazy good...like an olympiad... he's writing, playing, singing, breaking the beats, and just killing all of it. By himself. That's fucking hustle.
Can you imagine he had a stutter as a kid? Eminem's music helped him overcome his stutter. Seeing the video again has awakened my love for ed sheeran again.
I’ve performed this version at gigs (minus the loop station) for years. Took me a month to learn it front to back. The guy is a monster in live performance.
Ed told the court that if he was found guilty of plagiarism, he’d never play again. He meant it. Thankfully he won. He’s talented AF! Love him. Always have. Slow or fast songs. He really can do it all. He just said “A-Team”, which is part of his lyrics on Taylor’s End Game! Ahh. Makes a little more sense now. 😉👏🏻
He did I Was Made to Love Her as tribute to Stevie Wonder and that and the Multiply 10 yr anniversary concert are some of his best ever performances. Bloodstream at the Brits was incredible!
He's a busker at heart it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone how talented he is. There are hundreds of thousands of people across the world playing live music for dirt cheap hoping for the chance at exposure that have more talent in their pinky nail then most of the artists on Billboard's top 100 combined.
I've been commenting on a bunch of channels trying to get ppl to react to this - So glad you finally did! This video seriously changed the way I feel about Ed - I never had a problem with him, but the amount of respect I gained for him by seeing this was immense.
If you EVER have the opportunity to see him live--DO IT!!! I saw his stadium tour...Him, his acoustic guitar, his loop pedal, and a mic and he held 80,000 in thrall for 2.5 hours. Best live music experience of my life--and I'm 54 and have been going to at least 5 concerts a year since I was 18.
Just a quick trivia, this song and performance was prior his success. So the line that you emphasize about sleeping from couch to couch isn't about him being on tour all the time. It is actually his experience before his music boomed. Ed was open about it in the interviews that he actually played on the street and pub to pub when he was young. There are times when he go with other people just to get a place to sleep in.
Ren and Ed collab would be amazing, but I'm curious about the effect of just seeing Ren play around with a looping station. Seeing how good Ed already is on his own, and knowing Ren is 🔥both live and recorded, Ren and Ed together would break the internet.
From his debut album till now Ed Sheeran never miss. Especially on his live concerts where he mashup all his songs from different album using the same beat that he made in the loop, which is pretty addictive when you hear one.
I liked Ed from the start. Then I started searching some of his other stuff when he was new. This was one of the sessions that solidified my love in his style. So talented
Heard this live in Reading concert. Still gives me goosebumps listening to this version, what you hear on this is nothing compared to one of his concerts
He did a interview where he mentioned people say you’re lucky you have that talent yada yada and he’s like I’m not lucky. I was shit when I started, but he’d worked damn hard to get to this level. Icing on the cake, he had a recording of himself when he was much younger, and just starting out.
There are a few trumpet players that can play a single note for a minutes. They perfected breathing in the nose while pushing air from their cheeks at the same time. This is that level of breathe control
16:41 - Dude, I had no idea you hadn't reacted to this one yet or I would have gotten it in front of you sooner. This was a magical performance, truly. Awesome reaction and I'm glad you're here new. Check out his mashup "Ed Sheeran - Don't/Loyal/No Diggity/The Next Episode/Nina (Live at the Ruby Sessions)" on the Ruby Sessions TV channel
Yo man, hope you’re well. I love the content. I saw Ed Sheeran at V Festival in 2012 in London. He headlined the smallest stage (inside a giant tent) it was absolutely heaving with people inside and outside around the tent. He did a 35 minute version of this track, all with the loop pedal, and bought out Wretch 32, Giggs, Kano, Devlin and many others - IT WAS AMAZING!
This was the video that made me start playing guitar and writing music! Happy to see you react to this one and remind me where my music journey started!!! Much love ❤✊🏼
I’ve seen Ed 5 times in concert. My daughter got me listening back in 2012 when I thought he was a pop singer. This dude could be a good rapper too. He’s become my favorite musician.
I loved the official vid but this is SOOOO DAMN much better. The man is the MAN. Talent, when live, whether it is in small studio, busking, in small space, or just ficking a stadium filled with a man and a guitar and his live loops... ... real talent SHINES. Ed fell off my playlist. Back on again... should be Staylist rotation. Much Respect. Nice react, as always.
Cliff-- speaking of REN. He just posted while he is working on his next album. Has the bones already he says. Looking for artists to cover for him. Im with you-- Ed and Ren would be fire
He’s definitely got his own house now man these songs were from before he was rich lol. Ed lives near me he’s always at our football games he’s a legend
I first met Ed at when I was Swansea university literally say hello and off on my way lol. I was a dj rocking hip hop at a old school bar in the city center. An he rocks some serious nostalgia during this, like calling out ed solo. Who was a massive influence on me and without a doubt him. My brother in law is now the head of Bristol and prior a teacher of Falmouth university who knows him well and I will say its a crazy small world we live in, when we look back. Me and my Mrs went to see him at Cardiff and you can respect the sheer talent and determination he has had over the years. Myself I just work for the NHS and can still mix some banging tunes when needed 👌
I was at the show where he brought out Eminem in Detroit and it was epic. What he does with so little is unfathomable in person. Listen to a live performance of Ed Sheeran - Bloodstream for another good example Side note: I love the work you do and the positivity you spread. Been following your channel for a while and you've never switched up once. Respect. Stay well❤
All his Live room performances are amazing. As are B.O.B's and shinedowns but you need to check out Ed and Devlins 3 songs on live lounge, blind faith is a beauty
Back in 2009 I heard is You Need Me EP, this was when he was still a no one. I remember I showed it to my friends, and my girlfriend at the time and was like "this guy is gonna blow up." Of course they all just was like "yeah sure, whatever" and wouldn't really pay attention, because for whatever reason most people wont like music until the mainstream tells them it's okay to. Now he's one of the biggest artists of our time and everyone I showed that EP to loves his music now. He's my first and only artist to ever find before they hit the big time, and I don't know how the people I showed it to could just casually blow it off. Moral of the story, if a friend is tells you to check out a sick independent musician, don't shut it down just because they aren't in the major leagues. May miss out on some great music.
He headlined Glastonbury on his own and people were complaining that it was pre recorded because they couldn't see the band. Nah dude. Look at his feet pressing those pedals like his life depends on it. Incredible artist.
He tells that story literally everywhere he plays and says it was said at whichever venue he’s playing at.
@@KaiLucasZachary no i watched his performance and saw the twitter meltdown from people who didn't understand what was happening
Ed is the fucking band
There is a lot about Ed Sheeran that people just don't know. He's very talented.
Ed in concert is unbelievable. I didn’t know how he’d pull it off or if it would be boring with just him. Dude…it was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to! What you saw right there he did for 2 hours, plus a light and picture show, and no one missed a whole band one bit.
Same here! Saw him on stage in Amsterdam, it was phenomenal! I suggest Cliff go see him live too, man, so cool!
I saw him in 2011 when he was opening for Taylor Swift and I didn’t even know who he was. I left that concert thinking he was the best performer I’d ever seen. I’ve been to two more of his shows and he doesn’t disappoint.
Same, insane man. Really impressive that he's really alone at the stage. I was at his concert 2017, probably the best concert I've ever seen.
Yep, it’s unbelievable how loud and hard he had it rocking in there. I’ve seen a lot of people live and he remains one of the best I’ve seen.
and he was only about 21 here! He's 32 now, and ya know he only gets better with age and experience! Ed is PHENOMENAL live - he basically does this for 2 hours straight! 🔥🔥🔥
ed is a one man show and doesn’t need those rec producers and big production. He’s fr awesome 😎 Great reaction Cliff. Ed and Ren collab yes 🙌
Ed Sheeran is a lyrical beast. The guy is an enigma. Not to mention a fellow Brit...😎
this is the most talent I have ever seen one person present in a single video - in my life. just unquestionably gifted
Have you discovered Ren yet?
Ren is great, but he’s not Ed.
Bloodstream at Glastonbury sticks in my mind as an outstanding performance. Bloody loved watching that. Brilliant.
This was a very early Ed song about his beef with record labels. Also old school Ed is much preferred over the current radio friendly version imo
Yes Ren & Ed would be super dope! Why because they are both in love with their craft!!
True and they're the same age and both grew busking on the streets in England!
His "Wayfaring Stranger" from this session is one of my favorite things ever.
Ugh I love wayfaring stranger!!!
I’ve seen him live 3 times and it’s just like this for every song. It’s amazing how loud and rocking he can get a stadium with just him, his guitar and his loop pedal. Definitely one of the most impressive performers I’ve ever seen live. I’m telling you, he is sooo good!

That's fucking hustle.
You realize that this was recorded over 11 years ago...Ed was like 20 or so at this point. Dude has CRAZY talent.
Can you imagine he had a stutter as a kid? Eminem's music helped him overcome his stutter. Seeing the video again has awakened my love for ed sheeran again.
He is the definition of an artist and a creator
I’ve performed this version at gigs (minus the loop station) for years. Took me a month to learn it front to back. The guy is a monster in live performance.
As a former English private school choir boy like ed I can confidently say this man seriously talented 🎉
I fucking love watching Ed with his loop pedal, it's so damn simple but so impressive!
Favorite comment here!!
Years ago this is why I am an Ed Sheeran Support
He's a busker at heart it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone how talented he is. There are hundreds of thousands of people across the world playing live music for dirt cheap hoping for the chance at exposure that have more talent in their pinky nail then most of the artists on Billboard's top 100 combined.
Ed stuttered as a child. His dad bought him the Eminem cd. Ed sang it over and over and it cured his stutter.
Glad you've found his RedRoom recordings, they are fantastic.
I absolutely love Ed Sheeran
Ed used to split so well and no one realised then he went mainstream and he blew up but he is still a great artist for the old skool heads.
your face when he sang my eyes are red verse by Laid Black was the same face i made years ago when I heard it lol
I've been commenting on a bunch of channels trying to get ppl to react to this - So glad you finally did! This video seriously changed the way I feel about Ed - I never had a problem with him, but the amount of respect I gained for him by seeing this was immense.
I have respect for him choosing to use the same guitar he used to use on the streets busking with.
Yes!! Ren & Ed… two solar systems creating a new galaxy…😮
Given Ed more listens, since I got into Ren / both incredibly talented artists who are real.
It’s no coincidence that both Ren and Ed came up through busking.
I feel like this is what happens when a Bard rolls a nat 20 in battle.
Just a quick trivia, this song and performance was prior his success. So the line that you emphasize about sleeping from couch to couch isn't about him being on tour all the time. Chuck KT Tunstall in there as well. looping perferction.
It would be awesome.

Yes Yes Yes Ed and Ren would be The Awesomest!!!!
Trust me, even today whenever he performs this song, you know shits about to get real ❤❤
Heard this live in Reading concert. Still gives me goosebumps listening to this version, what you hear on this is nothing compared to one of his concerts

The man is dammed good.
I absolutely love watching him create music! It is amazing to watch!
Imagine a collab between Ed Sheeran and Harry Mack....
This was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏👏👏
Yup you took the thought right out of my mine. Ren & Ed would shake the earth I stand on😂😂😂
16:41 - Dude, I had no idea you hadn't reacted to this one yet or I would have gotten it in front of you sooner.
Watched this during the live stream and watching it again still leaves me surprised
That was surprising! I didn't know? A Ren x Ed colab ? Yes please.
Yeah, Ed is fcking talented, no doubt about it!
Fun fact Ed was sleeping on the couch at Jamie Foxx when he was trying to make it. Waaaay before a team and I see fire
The shots from the producer's booth 😂
Man got nothing to do!!! 😂
This was the video that made me start playing guitar and writing music! Happy to see you react to this one and remind me where my music journey started!!! Much love ❤✊🏼
He dose give me love in the same live lounge session
YES a Ed x Ren hit now plix!
This is the OG Ed that I used to listen to with Devlin cos they were amazing together.
I’ve seen Ed 5 times in concert. My daughter got me listening back in 2012 when I thought he was a pop singer. This dude could be a good rapper too. He’s become my favorite musician.

Thank you for reacting to my music they stole from me so that I can regain my rights and the rightful owner can get paid rather than the thief.
Great reaction. Picked up my morning after a weird start to the day. Thanks 🙏 I forget how good Ed is
Cliff-- speaking of REN. He just posted while he is working on his next album. Has the bones already he says. Looking for artists to cover for him. Im with you-- Ed and Ren would be fire
Definitely need a Ren and Ed collab
oh a Ed and Ren collab would be something else .
whoever requested this is a goat
He’s definitely got his own house now man these songs were from before he was rich lol. Ed lives near me he’s always at our football games he’s a legend
"I can hear the looping already with the woop", mate he looped everything you're hearing up until that point 🤣
I first met Ed at when I was Swansea university literally say hello and off on my way lol.
I was a dj rocking hip hop at a old school bar in the city center.
An he rocks some serious nostalgia during this, like calling out ed solo. Who was a massive influence on me and without a doubt him.

Name any other artist who can sell out a stadium, alone, with just a guitar.
I was at the show where he brought out Eminem in Detroit and it was epic. What he does with so little is unfathomable in person. Listen to a live performance of Ed Sheeran - Bloodstream for another good example
Side note: I love the work you do and the positivity you spread. Been following your channel for a while and you've never switched up once. Respect. Stay well❤
He is sooo great live!!!
Yeah brother.... Ed's *been* this good!! ;)
I'm not really into his pop songs, but some of the stuff he's done on his collab projects is great fun. ;)
there is a version of this with Devlin and Wretch32 live.. well worth a watch/listen
iTunes 2012 version is amazing too…. 19 minutes long 😂
I would appreciate a Ren and Ed Sheeran collab.
Ren and Ed colab..Yes Please !!!
🤣He is playing a custom Martin Guitar they ain't cheep but yes has stayed Humble and yes a Collab with Ren would be FIRE.
Ren and Ed would be TOO BIG!! The world wouldn't be able to handle it. 😂
Wow....speechless
What missing here ? Yes, REN
He definitely doesn’t live on no couch his house is massive 😂 he lives down the road from me mans a legend 🤙🏻
The video of ed is 12 years old.
All his Live room performances are amazing. As are B.O.B's and shinedowns but you need to check out Ed and Devlins 3 songs on live lounge, blind faith is a beauty
Ed and ren! Magic!
ad might be the best multi genre mc, he can make all genres of music and it will still sound great
EPIC
SO GLAD you finally reacted to this one!!! ♥ you really need to go to his concert when you can, it is a mustsee! He wrote this while busking ☺
Would love a Ed and Ren collab! 🤩🙌🏻

Our wedding song was Ed and Beyoncé duets. I tear up every time I hear it.
That song is insane.
I love when people finally realize how talented his is. This was YEARS ago! Lol
Yes!!!
He wrote this song when he was 16.
I think it was 15
The Laid Blak segment is brilliant👏
This proves how much I love your sister
This guy lives 3 miles from me in a little Suffolk village in the UK.🔵⚪️
Hell yeah brother.hope they get to do it on a track together
