Hi Rich! Have a great time at TINGS! I think the Flying Scotsman🚂would be interesting, especially if you convert it to DCC and add light 💡and sound! 🎶🔊 Cheers, Ian. 😃
Hi The Class 25 gets my vote, but if Flying Scotsman wins, could you do the 25 next please. I'm also hoping to be at TINGS on Sunday too, may see you there. Thanks
Rich, wish i was going to Tings, would love to shake your hand as I really do enjoy your videos. For me any loco but the steamer for a change. I have begun running loco's and cleaning them / servicing them., it's alway frustrating though even after they are cleaned sometimes they stall when changing direction. I have quite a few Farish diesels and I am always hesitate to remove the bogie frames (frightened to bust them) as often i think the issue is with dirty brass wipers? Also what do you clean your track with?
Im really glad the videos have been interesting for you to watch Chris. Im sure we will cross paths in the future. With regards to cleaning the track i use isopropyl alcohol then wipe away with a clean rag straight away, its not ideal but has worked for me quite well so far. Really my trick is i have and will fit as many stay alives to my locos as it almost negates having to clean my track, this isnt for everyone but in short im lazy with cleaning the track and use stay alives where i can 😂. Not all bogies with N gauge come out the same way as im sure you know. Some pop out easy, some are tough to pop out and then some are clamped in with l brackets or pins if its an old minitrix diesel.. taking the body off helps me sometimes to work out what type of bogie it is before i commit to yanking it out with force sometimes!
@@ThisWayWorksTWW Hi Rich re read my comment i meant I'm voting for the steamer, also I'm ok with removing the bogies but it's the frame around the wheels as to get at the wipers you need to remove the wheels especially if the wipers are not touching the wheels in some positions.
@@ngaugefouroaksstreetstatio6932 steamer it is then for the vote👍. Yes some of those "Bogie Frames" can be stubborn. Most if not all from GF are clipped on to the bogie.. its those coupling springs on the older types of GF locos that you need to be super careful with as the springs pop off away into the carpet normally 💩
for a layout your size you want to watch a video on the channel ''Rons Trains N Things'' Video title is ''Stop Cleaning Your Model Railroad Track''.... I will try to put a link to it on your channel, but links usually get blocked. Simon.
Flying Scotsman please 😊
Flying Scotsman gets my vote! Enjoy your time at TINGS, look forward to seeing the video on the channel...
Any of them. Enjoy all your fixing & updating videos. 👍
Cheers Mike 👍
