Hi Rich, really enjoyable, oil is the enemy of good running when it gets on the pickups. Thanks to your video's i have been able to service most of my fleet. All the best really enjoy not only the content but also the way you put it together.
Thanks Chris, it means alot to know you like the videos 👍, actual graphite could be a viable solution for lubrication maybe in the future. I will need to research into this but it might be a winning lubricant 🤞🤞
Hi Richard, well this video came as a shock, I didn't even know that Dapol had released Capt Tom Moore as a model. turns out it's a Dapol exclusive! really nice to see the strip down on the newer chassis, I have never been in one, but this video has certainly given me many tips and what to watch out for, yet another great servicing video! All the best Tony.
Yeah the new pickup wires from the bogies work brilliantly and so do the contacts to the body shell 👍. Felt to be the same weight as previous models if that helps 👍
Thanks for the video. The issues I had with this version was that they'd run fine to begin with but ran warm or they would soon slow to a complete stop. Sent them back twice before getting the 3rd one refunded completely which was a shame. Would that suggest the opposite of over greasing? Cemex version runs perfectly which is bizarre because I think they're from the same batch?
Hi Rich, a random comment on this post, but I saw your work on Peachys TT Turntable. Do you do commissions, I.e. could you do the same work for me for a fee? Regards, Dave.
Hi Rich. Do you think the missing wiper occurred before you received the loco? It really worries me that *quality* manufacturers flood a loco with grease and oil, thus requiring the whole mechanism to be almost completely disassembled. Do you have a sonic bath that you could have used to get into all those awkward places? Sorry, I think the volume of your intro and incidental music is too loud.
The wiper was missing when i got it however i did buy it second hand so i cant really say for sure whether the extra grease and broken wiper were the previous owner or not. I dont have a sonic bath, i also wont be getting one, most of the ones i see dont work well enough to warrant the price.
Hi Rich, another useful video as usual. Yes, with the application of oil need to remind oneself of 'less is more'. Running like a beauty now! John
Cheers John, Yes shes running great, actually better than i thought to be honest. Rich

Another quality example of how important correct maintenance is rather than just chucking on lubricants regularly.
Too much lube!!! 😂.... it is sad i see it all the time, im not sure whether its from manufacturer or Previous owner though..

It would take a while for grease to get to the pickups so this could of been the same issue you had, its really hard to know for sure though
