So, is commonboosting intentionally not used in tas runs? As someone who doesn't know about the tas process I don't understand why to not use them if it makes the run faster, they even look cool:D In any case I like the run!
If there were other options for how to accelerate as efficiently as possible in solo mode, then I would use this. And in general, this does not apply everywhere. It's just such a campaign, with a fairly open space, why not try it. For example, The Parish, which I did recently, there are more interesting shortcuts/skips and less common boost.
The complicated thing here is that you must verify if the zombie can appear at the place and time in which the survivor arrives at the position. With the bilejar it is even more complicated because since the bilejar explodes the director does not generate new zombies later until its effect ends.
late response, but commonboosts are barely used due to legitimacy, we want to keep things fair to make it look as normal as an actual speedrun, but since everything is manipulated and scripted, there seems to be no reasoning to do that anymore, just put whatever you want and it still wont look good
@@dudeDX This is because each of these commonboosts considerably reduces the possibility of being legitimate due to the very low probability of achieving a commonboost, of a zombie appearing in the exact place and having the exact reaction, even if the possibility is completely legitimate. The only way to know if it is legitimate is to try it yourself, it is sad because it is really boring to have to restart the game just to verify this, at this point there should be a tool that can quickly verify this.
Funny, but this 'try hard' style of playing games just ruins it, when you play online its just a bunch of kids jumping around left to right and almost flying.

For speedrun realism expert without bunnyhop
How did you IDLE solo? Or how did you not lose speed from tank boost without taking a break?

Yeah, that's A LOT of common boost 😂
which is why the run feels unnatural
