A Drone Adventure to see the ruins of the derelict Howley Hall between Batley and Morley. Yorkshire

Howley Hall is a ruined Elizabethan country house in Batley, West Yorkshire, England. It has been designated a scheduled monument since 1997.
The Hall was built by Sir John Savile, a Yorkshire politician and courtier, at the end of the 16th century. It remained in the hands of the Savile family until 1671, and was the site of fighting during the English Civil War in 1643. Subsequently it passed into the hands of the Brudenell family, under whose ownership the Hall deteriorated and was eventually demolished between 1717 and 1730.

is their an old railway tunnel nearby ? as a kid i seem to remember walking through a tunnel from Batley to Howley and playing amongst the ruins

There is a live railway tunnel near by.

Yes, remember walking through that tunnel too but I think they sealed it up a long time ago. There is also the live Morley tunnel.

You get to it from Woodkirk Church, old station opposite, walk left across open field and walk down the disused line towards Dewsbury to tunnel. It scared me!
