I will tell you that colleges have ways to admit more minorities without DEI. It's not hard to figure out. And I am glad they will continue to promote diversity for opportunity

College needs to regress to education not indoctrination period. All degrees should be 3 year achievable with far less under water basket weaving classes as a degree requirement. The product they produce isnt wanted in the workforce.

I graduated with 4.3 GPA. I've had a tutoring business since I was 12. At the time, I volunteered at our local food bank since I was 10, played the violin and was in track. I scored 1400 on SAT.
One would think including myself that I'd get my choice of colleges. But because I'm 80% Caucasian and 20% Asian, nobody gave me anything despite my years of hard work.
But many got in with full scholarships with 80% less than my accomplishments.
But it's all good. I own a successful company. Loosing all those scholarships made me work harder. But it's still unfair that others with 2.1 GPA got full scholarships.
DEI - didn't earn it.

When my daughter went to MSU, she was in a dorm, where 8 girls shared a bathroom. The other 7 were all black, and all 7 got free rides. A cousin, took a pipe fitter test, when they were going to accept 100 of the people who took the test. He scored the highest score, out of all applicants. He wasn't hired. All 100 were black. Affirmative action. That's what DEI used to be called.

The population is approximately 13% Black. Ill bet there are more than 13% of student population is black.
A little bit of googling will show otherwise. Texas is ~12% black and University of Texas is 4.5%. Granted, it looks like white students are underrepresented, but the only overrepresented minority in the figures I found were Asians.
