@@prajwalsudke-ws3zb Vijayawada nagpur express way is little over 400 km... vizag raipur express way is also over 400 km.. from Nagpur vizag is like 700+ km.. if this expressway is completed, vizag can be reached faster through Vijayawada than through raipur...moreover it's not just about using port and about vizag. The route alignment itself is significant due to its passage through most underdeveloped areas of Maharashtra and Telangana

And in south of Vijayawada we have krishnapatnam port which is run by private entity is also famous in India. So in that way it becomes important.

The road between nagpur raipur is mostly covered with forest land. May be that would be the reason
