Ellis Dee & DJ Swan-E - Hear Me. Nice late 1993 Hardcore/Jungle track from Ellis Dee & Swan-E with very similar sounding melodies to State 808's Pacific State track.
You are the main man 🙌 when I left the UK for a better life in Thailand I had to leave all my vinyl in UK and every post you put on I have on vinyl back in UK and atleast I can still listen to them at the touch of a button. Still do radio show from here that goes out of the fm back in UK but only do happy hardcore shows and makes me wish I had sorted out copying my vinyl to mp3 before I left UK all then years ago now 😔 massive big ups to you fella. Dj Madhatter on UA-cam 👍
VERY SPECIAL TUNE INDEED... hands in the air cos of the rush, not some cheesy thing bastardised in the house scene! As to the beats and vocals: the ruff with the smooth! A classic.
Great chords, Burial was prob one of the first tunes that really got me into underground back in 94, props to Ellis Dee for the chords! he was a ledge too, I remember Rock to the max from the Fantazia videos, another classic! Think hes another Essex boy too :D
mickeybeam75 Nice to hear someone in the know speak the truth about this tune , hear a lot of the jungle boys bash this tune due to burial and frost , most wouldn’t even know that Roy was producing with Rhythm section back in 91 and most would totally write off anything that wasn’t played or produced by the so called jungle council from 94 which was made up off mainly London boys and ignored a lot of the better dis and producers from else where ... Ratty for one ☝️
Ben Newton yep you know 👍 although jack frost did do some good stuff on formation before burial, you gotta give props to the whole scene really... everyone did their bit not just the council of djs who let’s be real a lot of them didn’t make great tracks when in the studio or they had one or two bangers and that was enough... Ellis Dee was massive though prob more so in 92/93 when the rave thing was big, he had his own sound in 94 and was also happy to drop a happy tune in his sets which in a splitting scene didn’t really do him any favours imo, but for me he’s an absolute ledge
True story.... me and my pals were having a warm up drink in Holland’s Shenfield. Couple of guys walk in and ask us to move over as they need to set up decks/speakers. We move aside, no problem, said to the main man- no stress we are off soon anyway, going slammin vinyl in london..... guy who is setting up turns round to me and say- I’m playing main room 04.30-06.00..... it was only the main man Ellis Dee...... and god as my judge, he absolutely smashed it..... ledge
Let's all feel blessed that we grew up listening to great djs and even better beats.

Hey, I'm looking for this tune in High quality to use it in my mixes, can't find it anywhere right now, if someone has it, feel free to share ;)
Haaaa ❤ 😊
Ok so can some clear it up, did JJ Frost nick the chords of this for the Burial? (big fat n heavy) or was it vice versa? both nice tracks of course.
Chris Warner The burial came several months after this. You're right, they do sound similar
