If you take my word for it and skip the math of things, let's say your Jingliu has exactly 133.0 SPD. She does her first turn on the 1st cycle. Now with this amount of speed, what happens is the cycle counter would tick first, going onto the 2nd cycle, before she does her second turn. If she had exactly 133.4 SPD or more, her 2nd turn will fit within the 1st cycle. This is why breakpoints are potent, since they're basically a form of frontloading and allow natural turns to come earlier. If a wave is able to be defeated within the 1st cycle, being able to fit more actions than you normally could can either increase your chances or straight up enable closing the wave earlier, saving you a cycle. Now if you've watched the video I mentioned how SPD can fluctuate from being near useless to crucial. Why is this you may ask? Taking the example above, let's say even if you were to fit JL's 2 actions within the 1st cycle with 133.4+ SPD the wave still wasn't defeated (this will likely happen for most of us against the 2nd wave) and it took you (for the sake of this example) to her 3rd turn to finish the fight, within the 2nd cycle. Even the 133.0 SPD will finish the fight at the same cycle, because both 133.0 and 133.4 SPD can do 3 actions within 2 cycles. This is why the importance of SPD and SPD breakpoints are variable and situational. SPD when taken really seriously for optimization is a pretty complicated/non-plug-and-play stat, but no worries since the game isn't hard enough for you to have to change gears and SPD for different fights to beat the game.
@ccmusicc tbh I noticed this and I'm starting to speed tune a bit more since Last moc I cut it petty close (killed on the last action for 3 stars) but this time around I was 2 cycles early. My bronya is at 135 spd and I'm thinking of running Jingliu with atk boots and have her be slower just to give bronya and pela more time to act, if that is too slow gonna increase speed from there.
@@TheAlzack Assuming I'm right in thinking you're going for the "Fast Bronya" playstyle, 135 SPD Bronya will technically work for that, but cranking up her SPD to my guesstimations should tangibly net you better results. That said, experimentation and hands-on testing is the name of the game, you're on the right track
@ccmusicc yeah going for fast bronya but don't have a lot of speed substats. Luckily there's time to refine the farming, and jm gonna get some speed boots for jingliu to try both playstyles anyway.
It's almost practically impossible for most but there could be one lucky bastard that gets it so might as well mention, but yeah advance forward proves to be more impactful in lowering the required spd so 0 cycling Wave 1 ends up being more achievable with 4 Wind
I prefer the Bronya action logic I described in the vid but feel free to try that as well, though I don't think there's any real potentially strong early breakpoint for a strictly Basic Skill alternate Bronya, just have as much as you can

Imagine fighing Cocolia/Kafka/Yanqing with and without E1. Good guide btw, prob best one so far.

How much speed will my Bronya need for an EQE combo(Level 10 Talent)? My Jingliu is at 105spd (+10% AdvanceForward).
