    I don't think he turned the cartridge as far as it's supposed to be. I just installed mine, and the "handle" of the cartridge is parallel with the back of the toilet tank. Makes sort of a mild "click" when in postion.
    Also, he didn't mention for you to pay attention when you attach the output line to the overflow tube. Don't just mindlessly clip it on there like I did. Make sure the hose is to the inside of the overflow tube, otherwise the water will flow into the tank instead of the bowl. OOPS!

    I just ordered 2 of the Blue version due to having a septic tank. I was wondering if the other bleach version cartridges would be safe for a septic tank if you lived alone and typically flush only a few times per day? Or, should I stay with the Blue version cartridges? And I also did not know that bleach was bad for a septic tank. I typically use bleach and a brush, but only once or twice a month. Evidently, that is not enough bleach to cause issues with a septic tank. I got lucky on that? And no, I have never used the hang on the bowl or drop in bleach things. I heard they were bad for mechanics, seals, flapper, and spetic tanks a long time ago. But I do hate cleaning practically anything, but most of all toilets and was shopping for something that might require less cleanings. I hope this works... PS: Be careful with some single moms working a full time job and doing house cleaning on the weekends as a side job for cash. Some know not what they are doing and just not worth the $100 bucks for half hour of not so much cleaning.... LOL. Or, learn the hard way like me. Same thing applies to these lawn mowing guys on weekends. $200 bucks for a half hour of scalping your yard. I can't wait for them to dissappear when they are forced to go electric. Sooner the better. LOL....

      We do not recommend using our bleach toilet cleaner for septic tanks because bleach is known to destroy the living enzymes that are added and located in your septic tank. We would recommend using our Original Blue and or Septic (Green Cartridges) refills. The Original Blue does not contain any chemicals that will harm the septic system. The Septic refills also do not contain any chemicals that will harm the septic and we have added enzymes that release into your septic with every flush. These enzymes will help keep the septic healthy and flowing. You can order them directly here: shop.fluidmaster.com/flush-n-sparkle/category/flushSparkle

    The only problem I see with this system is the treated water dosn't pass through the holes under the rim. Or am I missing something? Thats where you would want to bleach to travel through.

      The Flush n Sparkle cleaner that drains into the bowl from the tank will flow through all the open orifices that bowl has. In modern toilets the bowls only use a few holes under the rim as the majority of water comes from the jet hole at the bottom of the toilet bowl. So if you have open holes under the rim and water flow from them then so will the cleaning solution. Hi we have a Rod & Float valve, and no water comes from the valve port I guess that's what you call it from your instructions. So what do we do? The valve is an older model from over 10 years ago. If there is somewhere I could maybe send a picture would be great too

      The product that you have in there is at least 14 years old because that’s the last time we manufactured the fill valve with the metal rod. If there is no water coming out of the refill hose ensure that the hose is not clogged. Remove the hose and see if no water is coming out of the spout at the top of the fill valve. If no water is coming out then we recommend to flush out the fill valve for any debris that may be clogging it up. Other then that we recommend replacing that fill valve with an updated version. 400A fill valve would be the model we would recommend that would be similar to what you currently have. Here’s a video on how to flush out the fill valve: ua-cam.com/video/AabLItDN-qk/v-deo.html

      The Flush n Sparkle system was designed with modern 1.6 toilets in mind. The system will release cleaner with every flush by draining directly into the bowl thru the overflow pipe. Fluidmaster does recommend using our 400H-002 PerforMAX Fill Valve to help with toilets that need more water to the bowl. Toto says no bleach or acid, only detergent or gel cleaners. I'm on city sewer not a septic. Would the blue version be the best and does it keep pink mold under the rim at bay?

    Can i buy one of these for my dual flush toilet system ?

    • @FluidmasterInc
      @FluidmasterInc  2 роки тому

      The cleaning kit works on most toilets using a gallon per flush of 1.6 gallons or larger. The system plugs into the refill port of the fill valve that sends water to the toilet bowl which is how the cleaning solution gets from the Flush n Sparkle housing unit to the toilet bowl. You can purchase the Starter Kit here: shop.fluidmaster.com/flush-n-sparkle/category/flushSparkle

    Are the non-bleach blue tablets safe for toilets? That’s what I have been using

    • @FluidmasterInc
      @FluidmasterInc  2 роки тому

      Yes the non-bleach blue tablets are very safe for toilets. They are also extremely safe for spetic tanks.

    Ugh... I wished I had watched this before I put those stupid tablets in my old tank, now my gaskets leak and the trouble of taking out the 30+ year old toilet to change a gaskets... means I have to install a new toilet, because a single fix will ONLY lead to causing or finding other issues with the old toilet.

    • @FluidmasterInc

      Those drop-in bleach tablets do a lot of harm to the toilet parts. We are glad you found Flush 'n Sparkle to keep your toilet clean without harming the toilet tank parts. If you are installing a new toilet, you may want to check out our Better Than Wax wax-free toilet seal. Here is a video for it: ua-cam.com/video/TAEwudpeQFo/v-deo.html

    will never again purchase fluidmaster products as your only solution to missing parts in a package is for me to fill out a warranty claim and wait for a replacement. People need their toilets repaired asap, not in 7-10 business days. I’m out the money for your fraudulent part and had to purchase elsewhere. Garbage quality customer service. I should be able to buy a replacement and get a refund from your company. Really nice scam you’ve got going on.
