I think I'm with Jordan on the barrier blocks. Feels like a cheap crutch to use in making your parkour maps uncheeseable. You should just put the work into making sure the aesthetic part of your layout (trees, vines, etc.) doesn't interfere with the parkour course instead of punishing the player for taking jumps that are clearly possible because there's an invisible block there they wouldn't have known about otherwise.
Also, sometimes it’s good to let the player discover their own paths, as it makes them feel smart. Like how in hollow knight, the devs added alternate paths and left in other paths discovered by players that they didn’t realise existed.
Yeah, in this map barriers are mistake. You have to blindly guess which jumps are fine, which is bad game design. However, there are the ways to use them correctly. If the area is very clearly designated to be out-of-bounds (for example, left and right side of strip parkour) then it's fine to use them. Or invisible platforms for those mirror maps he played, that's also fine.
I had a friend growing up next door that was super competitive with me over everything. One day, we were racing across the street because his mom called us in for lunch or something, and of course, we had to be super competitive about it. We're neck and neck, and just as we reach his porch I've gained just enough ground to beat him to the door, and this genius decides he's gonna stick his arm straight out to "technically" reach the door before me. Kid's arm goes STRAIGHT through the glass pane of the screen door instead because he's got too much momentum built up to stop and he ain't about to lose a race when it's this close to the finish line. Took him to the ER. The kid had lacerations all through his entire arm. He was in a cast for almost a year it was so deep.
@@aza8800 I don't think that is considered a win, no. And I'm pretty sure I was in the process of opening the door when he crashed through it because I was grounded for like 6 months after that for somehow being at fault.
I started watching you blaze through the levels and wondered why the video had so much time left on it....then we got to the last few levels and I understood :D
I get queazy extremely easily with gore type topics so when he recounted that Reddit thing I had to just take a break for a bit and come back, like oh my gosh.
Ethical minecraft. Punch wood but replant. Punch dirt but fill I. Your holes. Pick berries but don't break and bush unless u replant. Catch fish but only if your hungry. Otherwise it's catch and release. U can do a ethical playthrew. Killing any hostile mobs is ok. Killing undead is ok. You can never beat mincradt tho. Killing a dragon is a HUGE NO NO
What I don't understand about you and toggle sprint is why don't you just use one of your 12 side buttons on your mouse for sprint, and leave it on hold to sprint? It's not any harder to hold the side mouse button rather than just holding the mouse, and it removes the problems you run into with toggle sprint on tight landings. (I understand toggle sprint when it's a button on the keyboard, but not when it could be a mouse button. I have my side mouse button bound to hold sprint.) To be clear, I'm not saying you're doing it wrong, I'm just curious what your logic is.
This is one of the greatest thumbnails in this channel's history

I mean, he could literally have raised most of these blocks by like 1 and stopped it entirely.

"Check out our sponsor the like button" is still one of my favorite bits ever
instead of barrier they should have used webs. that way it prevents the jump but is still visible.
12:26 All i can think of is "I would hve gotten away with it if it wasnt for you pesky barrier blocks"
Thumbnail made me laugh, its so good
When will people learn that Barriers (in both minecraft and basically any video) suck and are the WORST way to stop Players from doing stuff.
I started watching you blaze through the levels and wondered why the video had so much time left on it....then we got to the last few levels and I understood :D
A classic Minecraft map except with a godly thumbnail

Out of all the ways to unalive in the world, death by window punch has to be the dumbest way to go…
I’m sad. I thought this was actual Minecraft world challenge 😂 still great video but you should do it in a world working to beat the dragon
This looks very similar to a map you played years ago!

Work at a glass company currently. Definitely have 7 stitches I'm my hand right now for basically punching glass while taking a window apart.
