My dad used to listen to this all the time when I was little as he related to it a lot, he was sentenced to prison for five years in 2018 and was supposed to be released in a month or two. Come october we find out he has stage 4 cancer, out of nowhere. He lost his life two days before christmas and this song is something that reminds me of him. This is my first time dealing with loss but I find some kind of comfort in things like this. I didn't have him for most of my teen years as I'm 16 now and it hurts so bad knowing I'll never have him again. He was a good man, just in a tough spot. The prison system doesn't care, you're basically just a number, they don't look at what kind of person you are or your past offenses, your just scum. My dad went in months prior for a checkup because he wasn't feeling well and they said nothing was wrong, a few months later there's tumors throughout his whole body, how does that happen? I saw him for the first time in 5 years and he didn't even look like himself. He was skinny and could barely walk or talk. They just put him on a breathing machine and that was it. They didn't even try to help him and gave him no care at all, they basically killed him. This song is so relevant, and I listen to this a lot. I'm 27, and I have been through a lot of crap in my life, with the worst in 2018 when my family lost half of our big valuables from all those years and I lost 70% of my retro video game collection plus valuable old toys that cost a fortune now and even my high school diploma/grad gowns (I actually graduated twice) thanks to an ass landlord. Though we endured the storms and we are slowly recovering, I still live in a personal struggle every day.
Video games? Smh. That's not struggling wtf. People are homeless and people getting evicted can't take care of their families and you are trying to compare your stupid video games to hardship. You keep your ass at your parents house my man. You are definitely not going through shit.

"If you want to understand why the Black man thinks, and acts why he acts. Listen to Biggie's Ready to Die."
Will Smith
Where did he say that

"I don't wanna live no mo" T_T
I don't think Will Smith is a good person to quote when you are trying to convey that Biggie's music is great. The man literally got cheated on and is ok with it.
@@User1828-v4 brother there is a difference between being ok with it and being the bigger person about it, just because he doesn’t make a big ordeal about it and want to put his kids through divorce proceedings.. does not by any means mean that he is okay with it.
When my father was dying in the hospital I'd play this song for him it was his favorite...1 day the doctor came and asked how my dad was feeling my father answered and I quote "i know how it feels to wake up fuked up" my mother and sisters and the doctor didnt no what to do me and pop were dying...love biggie miss ya pop

This song proves why BIG is a top 3 rapper of all time 💯🐐
This shit makes me tear up. Got me thinking about when I was bumping this 18 years ago and now my life is fuuucked.... Still one of the best tracks ever though.
Hopefully it’s up now 🙏
It's serious.. I don't think he knew people would be contemplating ending it .. & his song being a inspiration to continue.. it's just raw talent..
This songs hits different when you actually live that life...
Damn right it does. No matter how successful or untouchable you think you are there is always an ominous feeling lurking in the shadows. He nailed that feeling.
That hood mental Health right here
Mind always playing tricks
"I know how it feel to wake up fucked up. Pockets broke as hell another rock to sell.." This album was a revelation...I remember when it came out my freshman year...couldnt tell me sh*t!!

Today is my brother's birthday. He would've been 42 today. Now my brother in law is in the hospital and they say he's not going to make it. March 9th hurts. #RipSmitty #RipBigPoppa #PullThruXMan
The greatest rap song ever made the real art of story telling he captured the moment in one song 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
There's this clip going around of a rare interview BIG did - where he's asked what his favorite song off of Ready To Die was. He said: "Everyday Struggle. That's my jam!" **Shit made my day. It's my favorite Biggie joint period, and just to hear him confirm it's his most special joint. Wow. I feel like anytime I tried to put someone on, they thought it was aight, but they never bumped it like I do.** #RIPBIG #BrOOklyn

BIG first verse 1 of the realest ever in Hip Hop history. RIP KING CHRIS!!!!
This nigga biggie was living for the next generation 😢 shyt still hits like the first time i heard it , masterpiece
RIP biggie died today literally around this time in my town la man RIP wish it wouldn't of ended this way.
Though we endured the storms and we are slowly recovering, I still live in a personal struggle every day.
just keep going okay
@@yeeeeeeeeee1348 Don't worry, I'm still fighting strong.
stay strong bro, youll get through this
Keep going bro
Video games? Smh. That's not struggling wtf. People are homeless and people getting evicted can't take care of their families and you are trying to compare your stupid video games to hardship. You keep your ass at your parents house my man. You are definitely not going through shit.
This song and suicidal thoughts tell alot about what the average person goes through
I DONT WANNA LIVE NO MO!!! .... WE FELT YOU IN THAT FIRST VERSE BIGGIE ...R.I.P KING
Was feeling lower than ever and had thoughts like Big..this song calmed me down along with some of the positive comments down below. 🙏🏽 I hope everybody gets through whatever it is they're going through. God loves you. ✌🏽✌🏽🙇🏽♂️
Amen

I loved this track as a kid in the 90s because of the synth and percussion. But then I grew up, had bills to pay, a job, my own daughter to feed and worry if she's coming up the right way. Some days you really gotta focus on who you're living for just to remind you why it's even worth doing every day. It's a whole different message now.
90s rap is on another level..
❤
Much better than the shit people call rap in 2024

Biggie has the greatest flow I've ever heard and rides this beat effortlessly.
B.I.G., Big Pun, Big L, NWA, AND Pac was the main rappers that inspired me to start making music and Ik I don’t sound like em but their story is what pushed me to start rapping🐐
You can tell that this song comes from the heart and from the soul what a powerful song!
Ayo I hope Jehovah blessings go to you day and night it's a hard life and all it is a lie just please don't give up I know believe me I know just one love one blessing one God one you ❤️❤️❤️

all these fools say all he talked about cars, bitches, money are stupid.BIG was very versatile and ahead of his time.He rapped about Mental Health back then.lol.Depression and suicide. It was not normal back in this era but BIG flipped it and made it accepted. He is the fucking GOAT..forever.
Exactly. These fools only listened to "Big Poppa" or something and think that's all there was to Biggie. He was versatile and talked about a lot of different topics as you pointed out. Definitely my fave rapper.

BE CAREFUL... it's a cool song, but spiritually, words can speak existence. Listening to, "I don't wanna live no mo, sometimes I feel death knocking at my front door" can be dangerous for you mentally.
