the thing is with maggie and glenn’s response to what the governor did is that you don’t really know what it’s like unless you’ve gone through it. intimacy right after something like that is hard and glenn wasn’t giving her that space/time.
My take, from what I can remember of this, is that Glenn got really pissed off that somebody would dare to touch Maggie. Then Maggie got pissed that he was angry about it for no discernable reason. Was such a weird thing and it also confused the audience.
@@vicolin6126 i think it wasn’t explained or explored very well besides the one scene. glenn is mad at himself for not being able to do anything about and not very comforting to maggie (almost invalidating) and how it feels for someone to have their bodily autonomy taken away to protect their lover is what i’m saying. she protected glenn and he wasn’t seeing that he just couldn’t handle it (understandably so)
I LOVE Hershel his sense of humour and personality is what the post apocalyptic world needs. Also Milton was right about documenting all this info it would be good history.
So what think was happening with maggie wanting to be seen was SHE wanted to be seen not what happened to her to be seen. Glenn and her dad were tip toeing around her a bit after. She didnt want to be treated different or seen different.SHE wanted to be seen for HER not the actions the govt took but every time glenn came around he was mentioning or confirming what the gov did and didnt do so he was not seeing her he was seeing the gov doing that to her.
I love the Governor’s story about his wife. I always thought it was a sincere moment to bond with Rick and allow Rick to let his guard down. I also got the feeling that Philip was taking different approaches to test and manipulate Rick The story about his wife seemed to bother Rick because it mirrors Lori’s death to a degree.
Im pretty sure the maggie glen thing was just Maggie was hearing glen being tortured, and then she was assaulted Maggie most likely wanted comfort from the man she was scared she was going to lose and to feel safe. Instead, glen got mad, started being aggressive to everyone bc of what the governor did to maggie. As if were still being imprisoned. If glen had comforted maggie and made her feel safe again, and focused on her instead of everyone else then she would have opened up to him and felt okay to do it. Im not overlooking glens trauma which is why they made up quickly. They dealt with it differently which is why they fought. Nobody is rlly in the wrong, they just didnt understand each other
So now Rick has this big dilemma Like Rick said He probably will kill us anyway. But then again like he said what if he’s not What if this is the answer. And it’s a tricky decision because they have just found and secured something that remotely looks like an actual Home. So I understand his struggle and I love that he told Hershel because if anyone can talk him out of it it’s him.
She has wanted to be important from day one and still isn’t and is somehow surprised! She is terrible AND stupid. Then runnin her mouth and telling him all their damn business!
