Study says obesity and inactivity is the main cause of type two diabetes. Fast food was around when I was growing up. But so was street football, street foot racing, bicycle riding, jumping ramps, break dancing, swimming pools at summer break. Not being able to go outside and play was a punishment, when I was coming up. Look outside today, you see any kids out there playing?

My co-worker’s doctor told him he was pre-diabetic. He told him to eat only meat and vegetables for a few weeks to help get the excess sugar out of his body. Some fruits are very sweet, so I would think that some fruits would be off limits when diabetic.
Yes, hence gylcemic index and load of foods is important to research, low iron (anemia), b12 and vitamin d are link to increased hac1 levels.
