As a puff main, one thing to not do is roll/dodge constantly in towards puff. You will think it’s not a big deal all match but if it last stock, a good puff can read the roll and rest you. I’m looking at you samus mains!
While this is an ok guide for beginners, imo few core points were missed. The most effective way to abuse Puff is do dashback a lot and whiff punish. As for grabs / throws despite her not getting combo out of it she gets 20% from a grab pummel dthrow lol defo worth it. A good thing to abuse vs her is to upb / upsmash oos vs her rising aerials and misspaced pound. You also didn't talk about her Dair which is her best attack by far since 6.0.
Oh hi gin
He mentioned drillrest and showed it
@@Inksploded drill rest is a tiny part of actual drill usage in the puff meta
@@Inksploded ooo get roasted!!!!!
@@Inksploded dang roasted!!! Get drilled
I hate admitting that I'm terrible against Jigglypuff. So thanks for the video!!
Don't worry buddy, you're not alone. Many people say that this character is low-tier, but honestly, I just straight up SUCK at this matchup.
This is because I main King K Rool and Inkling. K. Rool is a big, combo food character that can get hit with rest practically for free. Inkling struggles to KO without roller (which is a problem since Jigglypuff spends the majority of its time in the air), and even if I land roller, seemingly every Jigglypuff I fight is a GOD at mashing, so I'm likely not going to get that smash attack.
And yes, I've tried every sword character, but I just can't get the hang of any of them...
Jigglypuff is just one of those characters where I should have the match in the bag, but I just don't know how to deal with its moves. The thing that angers me the most about this character is that this pink demon from Hell will just be all over you with aerials, not even giving you a chance to fight back! I know the video says "don't get hit", but since Jigglypuff's air attacks have seemingly negative frames... yeah, good luck with that!
*sigh*... sorry for the rant. I'm sure you get the point. LOL
Any other Jiggypuff mains here watching the video to learn to counter the counters?
Seems like you got a good channel, I picked up sephiroth and got merced by a jigglypuff since I've always kinda sucked against puff and it was kinda humiliating considering I have an 8 foot long sword so I needed some tips to deal with this evil marshmallow balloon
Thanks for watching
I thougt ness had the best airdodge
You might be right. I believe Jigglypuff has the slowest, and some think that makes it the best, but that may not be the case. Ness' airdodge is awesome. And I think Steve and Mewtwo have great air dodges too.
Thank you for this guide. I might not ever be able to beat jigglypuff, but this guide surely helped
Guys you need to watch out for the sing in neutral as well that's scary stuff
u didnt mention drill rest lol thats the only way she can kill
I've watched hungrybox's stream so i can confirm this is true
B-air exists
not even close to the only way she can kill buddy
@@crazyK115 ikr puff has back air dash attack and up smash or fsmash which are really strong also has a 2 frame down smash also extremely good edge guarding
@@DunkeyKung I’m pretty sure he’s trolling. Bassmage may be the best Ult puff. He made it top 8 in the SWT. I think he knows what puffs best kill moves are lol
I feel like jigglypuff air dodge is very good, but only as a recovery move. It's really bad for actually dodging.
I didn’t even know I could just shield the sing move that will help a lot
Like always.... Travplay being informative and helpful!!! Thank you again!!!
Finally a how to beat jigglypuff
Her air dodge being frame 4 actually makes it one of the worst in the game
Ganon up air is good for keeping jiggly puff at bay
I love how desperate Puffs are to get the sleep kill
what do you do about down air? Seems to beat pretty much any move. Most of the time it even beat's up attacks from sword characters, which doesn't make much sense to me.
You have to avoid that attack. Take control of neutral before she is close enough to use it, which is really close. Don't challenge that move in general.
Thats my advice. Could be wrong though.
Puff players are the epitome of sweat
I play with a jigglypuff from my area using my link very often. Not the best swordie to outspace her, but doable, and the projectiles help a lot. But still, at first, she was destroying me. Then I started to parry their attacks. It just got a lot easier. Her attacks aren't hard to parry, and they let you punish very hardly.
So you going against pound spammers
THX
Covers the key points nicely for a 5 minute video, like the wall of pain, and the wiff punishing. I don't think just saying "outspace lul" is not a very good guide to beat puff though.
Good thing I know how to counter my weakness 😈
Jokes on you now I know how you foolish mortals will try to stop me
Thank you i was afraid a puff player would destroy me
Finally
@@RobSanic555 finally what?
what's the best character that can defeat jiggypuff
Ike and shulk are the main counterpicks
You can avoid the final smash unless she goes under the stage and uses it 😄
Heavies are great to use against Jigglypuff, if you can space correctly and hit her properly. In fact, 100%, I'd pick a heavy over Jigglypuff any day.
They will get comboed hard by pound tho
@@bestplayerofalltime105 yeah he must be go8ng against bad puff players or is just trash because thats just combo food and leads to an easy setup like dair into rest
@@DunkeyKung prob that
Where is the analysis at the end?
I lose respect for any jiggly puff mains that spam people off screen.
guys pls let me throw you
You never even mentioned Jigglypuff's Fsmash. I've been k.o. ed by it a million times, and now I don't know how to beat it from your video. Please help.
I usually don’t mention FSmashes in my guides because their pretty obvious how to beat for every character. Don’t get hit. Shield, dodge, or avoid, and then punish.
@@TravPlay Really? What would you do if you were at kill percent on your last stock and you got caught in Corrin's Fsmash? With or without shield?
@@ShimmeringVapidMusicianCoal if corrin does f-smash at ur shield your done for. No questions asked. Same thing without shield.
@@bestplayerofalltime105 I KNOW THAT!!!!!! I'M A CORRIN MAIN!!!!!! And yes I have 2 Channels...
@@ShimmeringVapidMusicianCoal then why ask the question in the first place.
Just use Byleth, Rip
byleth is easy to beat lol
really ? move to respect : rest / sing ?????
zzzzzz wtf
Yes idiot especially rest as it has a good amount of setups and sing can catch you of guard
You didn’t mention the reason she was so bad in smash 4. her floatiness was so bad especially in a game full of juggles like in smash4
Doesn’t seem important to mention in a guide for Smash Ultimate.
@@TravPlay its still one of the main reasons why shes bottom tier
@@dynamicjackstorm no. Lightweight and swordies are the main issue, not juggling.
@@bestplayerofalltime105 yeah that's true in ultimate In smash 4 it was juggling
@@dynamicjackstorm oh
