Here’s my tip for dealing with his Counter while onstage. If you play as a character that has a counter, you can counter his counter. Projectile characters can use their projectiles to catch him during the endlag. Or if you’re fast enough or above them, you can attack from behind (I know this was already mentioned in the video).
3 years later and this video is still getting use today. I love the good quality information and the Match Analysis is really helpful and something a lot of videos don't do.
Thanks for the Tipps. I already learned conterplay to some of his moves before this, but things like the what to do against Gigaflare edgeguard or what to do when hit with Shadow flare were new for me and are really useful tipps. I'll try to use them if i get caught in one of these situations

I Gotta say, I love the match analysis but I understand if you can't get a good match with each specific character every time. However, I feel this match was a good one to use.
This bastard is completely broken, his only weakness is his weight and I hate that. He needs to have like 300 weaknesses but NOOOOO, only one. I can't even approach to him since his disgusting side be and his range. His dash attack hits hard and haves a massive knockback, not to mention his Nair too. Big hitbox and big knockback, he is the definition of hate.
Wait so let's say you read a Sephiroth use his counter and charge a smash attack to punish it, when do you do the attack since his counter hits regardless?
Dude i love your channel because it really just puts what I say to my friends into a catalog perspective which makes me feel less like a crazy when i see ill definitely have the worst pick against their characters honestly this feels like a cool smash bible and I think its dope you take your time compiling this dude, kudos
met seth today in elite smash and he side b spammed the entire time. my fireballs arent faster than his side b, fun. and when I manage to get in forward tilt. I am having fun
They still have great end lag. Link,Toon Link,Young Link, Samus, Dark Samus, ZSS and Lucas, also have great end lag,while the others grabs have much less.
So I main Jigglypuff and my brother mains Sephiroth so I was wondering how can I fight him better? He's actually really good and does all these good things that u are talking about, and he rarely makes mistakes for me to punish. I can get him every now and then but for the most part he wins the games. how can I prevent this? what can I do against Sephiroth as a Jigglypuff?

Bowser's the character that noobs pull out because they can't combo. Unfortunately, Bowser's pretty vulnerable to combos, and you couldn't combo with him even if you wanted to.

tip: if your playing a fast faller and he back throws you on stage,hold down to force a tech chase
Falco wolf and fox are also great counters because they can deflect his projectiles.

What I like to do against giga flare is just when it comes out assuming I don’t have a reflector I just go down then back up

hate to say it but you might wanna look into a secondary with good range. Sephiroth is one of puffs worst match ups
