The VR aspect really adds to the experience! Spices up the zombie genre a bit
Thanks for this. I finally broke down and looked for a walkthrough after I got stuck trying to get past Dee and Dum, then once again for the final boss after failing a couple of times. I liked how you would position yourself right next to the save game spot while fighting zombies, and also how you would trigger a zombie, then outrun it, so that you didn't even need to waste ammo on it. After watching the boss fight, I may just consider that a cinematic ending to my game and call it done :)
What level did you play? Was it normal or hard? Thinking about restarting the game on easy, a lot of tension.
@@user-du4bf4dh5l Probably on normal. I never actually finished the boss fight! But when I just checked the game, I didn't see what difficulty it was set on in my save slot for the one I'm still technically working on. I've been trying to get my son to play it, though, since I think he'd succeed.
I really liked the first half of the game; the second half didnt really fit into the rest tbh. The first half plays similar to Resident Evil, with the added threat that zombies can travel WAY further between rooms and slamming doors can wake them up and have them look for you. But the second half was so extremely combat focussed and way too aggressive for a VR game imho. The zombies practically swarm you and run into your face, it just doesnt feel that good.
Good game, but I can't see how people were giving this game a 9.5 out of 10.
In my opinion, one of the most close games on VR to Outlast, love that

This game is terrifying…I have the PSVR2 version..it looks like red matter graphics mixed with resident evil game play for VR.

This game is really good, kind of like RE1 in VR (with a few Dead Space similar enemies popping up near the end). The last boss was a pain in the ass to beat, though.
What level of difficulty did you play on? Thinking about playing on easy, the game already has enough tension.

I've been playing this on the Quest 2. Is there a "reaload button" option that I didn't enable during the options screen? There is no way for someone to run and reload the shotgun at the same time. Unless I can drop this boss in 5 shots, time-wise, it is impossible. If you perform the sequence of motion controls too quickly, the computer simply does not register the actions. If you take your time and reach repeatedly into your belt and calmly reload the shottie (one shell at a time,) the computer punishes you for taking too long. Are the controls on the PC version less frustrating than the Quest version? I'm about to rage-quit.
Agreed, the second half with the boss fights just doesnt work that well in VR, its simply too hectic and aggressive.
A big problem is that the interaction system they use seems to be physically based (same system as used in Saints and Sinners). This isnt good for a fast paced game, because the controls are too sluggish.
Can we please get the psvr2 version so I don't have to play it on my quest 2 been waiting on it whats the hold up? Anybody know
I've tried to kill the final boss at least 20 times with no luck, controls are bad as fuck . I wait for a trainer.
Had the same experience, took a break and played it the following day and took him down first go. One tip is to face him as much as possible and move backwards.
The best and only time to attack him is when he’s charging at you, the faceplate opens up for a brief second when he’s right about to strike, you can also shoot him when it’s grabbed you but you will take damage. Shoot him and then unload into the puss filled back. Rinse and repeat.
Sure hope there is a sequel.

@@SawyboiWasTaken while it does share the name with the other game it is really not. they are just in the same universe. different genres and different plots. that other game also lasted for like 15 minutes and was basically just a demo.

Watching this cause im stuck on PSVR2 one. on EASY lol. Soooo the zombies never die? Killed two.....they just get back up. had to reload and refill my health too much already and i tried punching them too.
Yeah they come back unless to blow off the head, which the shotgun is very good at.

In the whole hotel there isn't any knife. 🤦 You're killing the same zombies over and over again with no explanation. The flashlight absorbs the battery like a smoothie and the light that emanates of it, it's weak. The game reminds me of TWD the vr one, seems like a clone.
I agree completely, everything felt exactly the same and the game was just boring , after the first zombie they weren’t even scary just an inconvenience.
