I am glad you are transparent with your audience. It really helps us as viewers as far as what to do in different situations. I appreciate it! Keep up the great work!
For smaller tank, like your 3X3 tank, how often do you change water? What percentage? Do you have to use a heater? Maintain at what temperature? Thank you.
one of the most passionate youtubers I have watched to date and iv seen a lot, im subed to most, but this guy deserves a lot more support on here for the effort he puts in and the love he has for these wonderful aquatic animals under 1000 subs is very surprising with this level of dedication. Keep up the great work and the vlogs my friend :)
In your professional opinion what do you think about my set up. I have a six foot Long by two feet wide by two and a half feet tall I was told it was a 225 I have one motoro Hybrid Stingray in there and a leucistic white arowana , With four fluval fx6's For Filtration. In according to the fluval Manual it says after adding Biomedia And sponges it knocks the fx 6 down to about 560 GPH. So I am approximately turning this Aquarium over 10 times an hour with 60 to 70% water changes every 10 days. Do you think I will be able to keep them For their lifetime. This question is for you kevin but i'm sure the comment clones will let me have it , I appreciate any feedback from your professional opinion
Hi kevin greeting from indonesia. As always nice informative video. I learn alot about freshwater stingray from your channel. I do have a question regarding stingray pup. Is it true that the pup need to be in shallower water, max depth of 50cm, and if it stays at too long in depth above 60cm they will die from the water pressure?
Love your channel , love the videos, maybe 1 day soon I'll be setting up a f/w tank and need a couple rays .... Maybe you can point me in the right direction !!!
What’s the point in even keeping them in those horrible plain tanks, it’s sad for them, you seem to be passionate but pearly not about their actual quality of life
Most keepers of stingrays keep bare tanks to ensure water quality is ideal as they produce a lot of waste I would do research before judging an experienced breeder
Looks all to cruel I get you breed to make money rather than love for animals I get that but you could be doing more to give them some kind of decent life there are breeders out there that have mazive pools for there rays to go in I duno I just think some of them rays shoukd be in a bigger tanks
Am I missing something? I don't understand why it's ethical/humane to house so many animals in a small tank for "maximum production" and to be kept in such an under-stimulating and barren tank. Is there something I'm not understanding about this?
Kiernan Haney I’m reality it’s not really humane to keep any animal. Nothing will ever beat the wild. Not saying you should keep 12 rays in a 55 gallon. But what Kevin is doing really isn’t that outrageous. Seen much worse.
@@nleplow69 Yes, they could be dirty tanks and they are not, but what an awful and sedentary life to live. Many pets are not given this low standard of a life. Many are, but that's not something we should be proud of or promote, like this.
@@kiernanhaney I know this is quite old but I run no substrate at all. It's also about safety when the rays shed their barbs. In sand, and with larger rays, a barb can be missed and the ray can sting themselves on their belly or try and eat the barb and sting themselves in their mouth. The king of diy has a video on this very thing. I've seen it a lot actually. It's not such a concern in the wild but in tanks it is. The biggest things with rays is clean fresh environments and this is the best way to provide it. I give my rays KONG dog toys to play with and they enjoy shoving them around and jumping on them
Hola amigo esas bolsas que usas dentro del tanque que son??? Gracias
In your experience, from what size the motoro stingray can start to breed..???

What’s your filtration on your 8ft racks you pulled the pups out of?
Kevin. Can you tell me the best water parameters for keeping and breeding Rays.
I have hard tap water. Do they require softer water to breed?
What is the size of the tank at 2.45
Is a bare bottom tank better than having sand or is it just preference

Most stingray keepers have no substrate or ornaments in the tank it is about water quality to ensure good water quality and healthy rays
