Hi sir, how to move cisco 2902 ap from one wlc to another wlc is there any special requirements ?
To move an AP you can go to the High Availability page of the AP and set the Primary WLC as new one and enable AP Fallback on current WLC. HW and SW requirements should be taken care based on the compactability Matrix.
Hope you were referring 2802 APs..
@@CiscoNetworking yes 👍
@@CiscoNetworking actually all AP is under DC WLC and we want to failover 1 AP to DR for testing and we kept primary HA for DC wlc and secondary for DR wlc and deny rule in DC core switch. But after applying AP removed from DC but unable to join DR. It is not restarting as i kept continuous ping. In DR firewall there is no hit count as well
Looks like the APs are not able to communicate with the WLC. It may be the GRT routing issue or CAPWAP ports. Kindly check the routing path both sides are taken care. Try to ping from WLC to the AP and make sure the path is available. I am asking to check the path only because you are not seeing any hits on FW. Once the communication path is clear and still APs are not joining then we have to go deeper like Regulatory domain, license, AP Authorization, etc...
