      @@valeriem6672 Hi Valerie! You're most welcome. As for the inverted nipple, since you're only 14 years old, and your breasts are just growing, it is possible that the inversion of the nipple and pulling out is from a normal physiological function. Or, your nipples are by nature inverted. Continue to do your self-examination every month, keeping our videos/information in mind, or re-watching them until you get quite familiar with the symptoms and what to look for. OK? Always check with your doctor when in doubt, OK? Our work is informational and does not mean to give you a concrete answer without seeing you in person. We hope that make sense. Glad to have you here - let us know with how your routine self-examinations go! And let also your friends know, so that they can do their self-examination early on as well.

      Hello Madhavi, so the white discharge came from the lump under your left arm, not nipple right? If so, the white discharge might be pus caused by an infection, possibly if your hair grew inwards. But it is extremely hard to say online without seeing someone. Try to take the pus all out, disinfect the wound. See if you feel better in few days. To be sure, visit your doctor. Also, to better understand the symptoms of breast cancer, watch our 'breast cancer symptoms' video. There you'll also find pictures. Hope this helps.

Meaning, when you do your breast self-examination (BSE) what to look out for and WHEN you will need to do your BSE. Please check out that video first, then do your exam again, and then, please visit a gynecology specialist (or your PCP can do this as well) to check it for you. ua-cam.com/video/4sgMODcc50k/v-deo.html You didn't write your age, but based on your age, you should do a regular doctor's check-up on your breast as well. @@michellepalmer6815 Hello again, Michelle! You've been on the pill only less than 2 months, is that right? Well, that's an extreme short time for a cause of a lump from pills. When you went to the doctor who prescribed you the pill, didn't they do an examination on your breasts? It is not imaginable that they didn't. Our best recommendation is to go to a gynecology (OBGYN) specialist to do an exam on you. This will help you to understand if you have a regular benign lump like most women or if it is something more serious. Only a doctor's exam can tell. It is impossible for us to say anything here online. Your best bet is to see a OBGYN specialist to exam your breasts.

And you're asking is this a bad sign - correct? It is hard to say, breast pain can be due to several things. • @CancerEdInstitute
      @CancerEdInstitute  2 роки тому +1

      Hello Archana, we cannot simply suggest what to do without knowing your medical background and tests, but you can have the fibroadenoma removed for three reasons: 1) to have a peace of mind, 2) to know the pathology and confirm if it is truly Fibroadenoma, and 3) to avoid causing it to you problems later (e.g. it might grow larger and/or causing other issues). Depending on what they've seen, if it is a cyst, the surgeon may use a needle to remove the liquid, but if it is solid, then they'll remove it surgically. In general, fibroadenoma is common in women and it is not malignant (not cancerous), but you want to make sure that it truly is. Our suggestion is the following: 1) talk with your doctor about your concerns and that if he/she can explain you more in detail what to expect, and 2) if still in doubt, get a second opinion from a gynecologist. All the best to you, and keep us updated.
