Thanks Brother Wilcox for your story about your Laurie. I love stories that lead me to a Holy Ghost experience. I love the Lord, and love your tender story. God bless you and yours.
"God loves ME"--That is a wonderful story of Maya Agelou. I have really enjoyed the promises in Jeremiah that God will bring the people back. In Jeremiah 29:11-14, I want to apply this in a general sense for those of our families and friends who may be walking different paths. Sometimes these different paths startle use as parents and friends, but if I can apply these words in these verses, I come to realize that God knows about, and in some cases may even be leading, our family members and friends in paths that will be most beneficial for them to learn that he is God. The day will come that they will find Him and once they call upon Him, He will bring them back. This is similar to Isaiah's message in 42:16. Thanks for the teachings you have shared with us.
Dear Jeremiah, The verses I’ve needed in my sorrow, my long wilderness experience that feels like hope against hope in impossible circumstances , are found in your words of prophecy. They were given me in a similar moment as “Rahel”as I too sat weeping and lamenting for my lost children in the early morning darkness in deep despair and hopeless lament “exceedingly sorrowful unto death “. After many hours, I opened my scriptures to Jeremiah 31: 13-17. I hold onto the promise of “hope in thy(my)end” because I stand alone in my family, mocked and persecuted by one who covenanted to love me, who has led my children out of that covenant as well 😢. Jeremiah, your prophetic words give strength to many, particularly in the last days of the gathering, when many of the elect are deceived and fall away into “Babylonian” captivity. Thank you for also hoping against hope and not being ashamed of Jesus Christ, and standing for truth even amongst family and friends who seem not to listen and are cruel. They will be gathered back and reclaimed 💔❤️🩹 What Jesus Christ touches lives. He is our Healer, Redeemer, Restorer, and Deliverer from ALL our Brokenness, and There IS Hope in ALL our ends because He keeps His Covenant Promises. Jesus Christ has and will fully turn All our early morning mournings into joy! After the darkness comes the morning! I personally testify of Our Saviors intimate and “everlasting love” for all of us. He weeps with us in our darkest nights and has a glorious, bright, expected End for all who seek Him. Jeremiah 29: 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. ❤
Brother Wilcox is by far the best teacher I’ve ever encountered. He fills each principle with so many easy-to-relate-to stories and examples that make them richer and unforgettable. Thanks for inviting him.
That was an awesome lesson. I could listen to you guys for hours. I would love to hear more about Theodor Herzl. I Googled a little bit and found out that his original last name was Tivadar, which is the name of my husband's ancestors that we still need to research. Thank you for your amazing guests. I felt the Spirit really strongly. Love from Slovenia. 😀
My 16 year old daughter and I have started reading a chapter of the Book of Mormon each night. We have just finished first Nephi. As we talked last night I said to her, "I wonder what would have happened to their family if Lehi had not listened to the Holy Spirit. What would have happened to each member of this family?" These last two weeks - this would have happened to them. It really does make what Lehi was going through at the time much more real.
The scripture 31:31-34 in the book of Jeremiah is a very profound scripture because it speaks of the new covenant. The new and unconditional covenant that God made with His people. God purposed to make through the precious blood of Christ. The Son of God who shed His blood for us. The old law was replaced at the cross with a new and better covenant. The covenant of grace made with believers in Jesus Crist. Not to destroy the law but to fulfill it using the Holy Spirit to fill the people's hearts. We will have an increase of knowledge through Him, and our sins will be forgiven. The new unconditional covenant that stands on God's word by grace and faith alone in Christ. This is the new hope. "And I will be their God and they shall be My people"
