    My custom translation:
    What my God wills, may that always happen,
    His will is the best;
    He is ready to help those who steadfastly believe in Him.
    The pious God helps in times of need,
    And punishes in moderation:
    Those who trust in God, and build firmly on Him,
    He will not abandon.
    Do not be afraid, my heart,
    God is your comfort and trust
    And the life of your soul.
    Indeed, whatever His wise counsel has ordained,
    The world and the power of men
    Cannot possibly oppose it.
    O foolish one! who withdraws from God
    And flees like Jonah from the face of God;
    Even our thoughts are revealed to Him,
    And the hairs of our heads
    Are numbered by Him.
    Blessed is he who chooses this protection
    In faithful trust,
    Looking with hope and patience to His judgment and word.
    So I go with courageous steps,
    Even when God leads me to the grave.
    God has recorded the days,
    So when His hand touches me,
    The bitterness of death will be dispelled.
    Therefore, when death finally tears the spirit
    Still tearing from it's body with violence,
    Take it, God, in faithful Fatherly hands!
    When the devil, death, and sin wage war against me,
    And my deathbed must become a battleground,
    So help, that in you my faith may triumph!
    O blessed, desired end!
    One more thing, Lord, I ask of You,
    You will not deny me:
    When the evil spirit afflicts me,
    Do not let me despair.
    Help, guide and defend me, O God, my Lord,
    To the honor of Your name.
    Whoever desires this, it will be granted;
    Therefore, I joyfully say: Amen.
