    Loved the scene where Spock was on his harp, and the hippy girl was playing the bicycle wheel 🤣

    This scene is treasure and should have been included in the episode!

    Doesn't hold a candle to the one blooper where they're all rockin' out on Dr. Korby's android creation machine!

      Wasn't that when Kirk was stripped down naked spinning on a turn table?

    Music sounds like the "space hippy" music from The Way to Eden.

      Yes, 100% correct, and actually, this unused scene is from that episode as well, after I checked several of the people.

      good guess. The music is from that space hippie rock group.

      @@SnowDaulphin Many people say that Spock's Brain is the worst TOS episode, but whenever I ask "really? What about The Way to Eden?" Their response is always, "oh yeah, you're right..."

      You are 100% correct. I checked one of the background persons, and it is the same person in the scene where Spock jams with the blonde Space Hippie Chick. Good job! 👍

  • @SnowDaulphin

    Very Charlie Brown esque. This ain’t no cast after party.

  • @LazRojas17
    @LazRojas17 2 дні тому +1

    From her hairstyle, I could have thought the blonde in blue in the back is Nurse Chapel, but Majel was taller. But that IS Chekov standing there and watching (and totally out of character in this episode, as he was created to appeal to the younger crowd).

  • @markszabo3383
    @markszabo3383 3 дні тому +2

    If it is original to the scene, the music is one of the jams (the last one) between Spock and the space hippies from "the Way to Eden"

    It’s interesting that this takes place centuries into the future, yet the dancing styles are clearly from the 1960’s when this series first aired.

    • @JoseyWales44s
      @JoseyWales44s 3 дні тому +2

      Well, we don't really know that those dance styles won't be back in vogue in the 23rd century. I hope that hippies are not.

    Chekov is in the background, and without his Davy Jones wig, so it's late second or third season. Also, Chekov is not dancing and looks displeased or pre-occupied, perhaps that's a clue?

    • @JoseyWales44s
      @JoseyWales44s 3 дні тому +6

      Third season episode, "The Way to Eden", based upon the music. Walter Koenig lamented that Chekov was brought in to appeal to younger fans, yet in this episode he was "Herbert", scowling at the non-conformist space hippies.

    60-some years later I realize this is just a 60s vamp over a simple E7 chord. Sigh...space hippies have really derivative music taste.

    Kirk and Spock were Herberts. Of course they wouldn't be at the dance party.

    Shame. Shame! This is really disappointed. Take a look at the dancing on Raumshiff Orion. It's here on UA-cam. Take a look at the dancing on Ikarie X B-1. These were both from 1963. 1963. A couple of years BEFORE Star Trek. Shame. Where's that woman with the damn bell when you need her?!?!
