I was ten years old in 1990, and it was the first year I started actively tracking hurricanes... partly to cope with the trauma of Hugo the past year, in retrospect. It was while following the Atlantic season (remember Diana and Klaus) that I first learned hurricanes formed in the Pacific... and did they ever! And they all had these tricked-out names, and they got crazy powerful over open water, and they started in _May_ and just kept coming! Oh, and they occasionally formed near Hawaii, and if they did they got a name off a special list just for those! Quite the experience for a young storm tracker. Thank you for letting me relive some of the wonder.
4th most active eastern pacific season in terms of ace officialy, with an official ace of 250 This will probably increase in this animation Edit: I was right, 276 ace now
Can confirm C4 status from JTWC's satellite fix, the satellite presentation is somewhat impressive though it is somewhat lopsided especially at the south side... Also, we could be getting another unwelcoming surprise...
I cant wait for 1990 with alma boris cheistina douglas elida fausto geneveive hernan iselle julio kenna lowell marie norbert odile polo rachel simon trudy vance winnie xavier yolandaa zeke!

Great Animation! Too bad I missed it. 😢
tbh i only think that Hernan, Odile, and Trudy were C5s
nvm cuz I now think Marie was a C5
also now I think Trudy was 185 mph with a pressure of 903 mbar
Trudy was at least 180 mph based on Dvorak
1961 WPAC pls
I wanted to feature Nancy and Violet!! They're both powerful storms, plus both strong!!! Both reaching 200mph+ !!
Also 1976 WPAC and 1997 WPAC v3
@@sonkim6876YESS WE NEED 1976
They should do 1994 WPAC V2
Marie is a cat 5 in 1990 and 2014

Pues de momento el pacifico no va a destacar mucho, estan vieniendo años con mucha actividad en el atlántico

2024 atlantic hurricane could be a hiperactive season
no telling, but based on SST's, yeah, we could be in for a 2020 or 2023 repeat
@@DAJTheUA-camr_2007hmm😏🤔
Could be worse that 1780, joining 1780, 2005 and 2020, Will be horrible season
