My dad and his brothers built some of the bar at big nose Kate’s. My grandma lived in Wyatt Earp’s house. When she died it was sold back to town. Love this place and the memories.
Debra...does anyone in ur family still live in Tombstone or Arizona? It's such a beautiful state with an amazing history! You have a cool family history. Do u have any stories that have been past down that u could share?
Marc f. Yes I do. I’m a 5 th generation native of Arizona. My grandpa was also sheriff of Pinal county here in Az. A book was written a number of years back with a number of stories with my family
Hi Debra...Happy Holidays to you and your family. That is something else!! What is the name of the book? I would luv to read it. God, the amazing stories your family must have passed down from generation to generation. I'd luv to see pics of your family from all those generations ago!
It’s book on history of greenlee county Arizona. If you call the county they may know where you can get it. My family name is cook!!! Thank you. Happy new year🎉
The most quirky and unique features of the Birdcage Saloon were the cribs on the second floor. The "ladies" would "entertain" their male clients while overlooking the main floor below or draw a velvet drape across for more privacy. Once inside a crib, as the door was closed a mechanical connection from the door would automatically unfold a bed! Everyone involved knew why they were there for sure!
I so enjoyed this vlog and seeing the actual locations 'in person' through you. The Birdcage Theatre was awesome, and the cemetery was a treat. Wish I could get there myself.
@@00.jasper.00 ive always been so intrigued by tombstone. I live right outside of Philadelphia PA. I plan on making it out there in the next year. How is life out there? Im a big history buff and treasure Hunter. Are there any places to metal detect in tombstone?
It must have changed since then because the gunfights were outside in the streets that lasted for 15 minutes, I don't remember it being inside the saloon but thanks Jordan for vlogging the show in the saloon
Hi Jordan, what an interesting graveyard and photo of the three of them at the funeral parlour. WOW, the Birdcage Theatre was brilliant and even better that all the interior was original. So much to see for $14.00 aswell. What a great little tow. Great vlog Jordan.
Whenever I think of Tombstone I think of the John Ford movie, "My Darling Clementine" with Henry Fonda. The shootout at the OK Corral is so well done in that movie.
When the actual gunfight took place it occurred in an open lot adjacent to the OK Corral. Today that area is enclosed by a wall and I believe there is a charge to get in. The gunfight is reenacted daily and when I saw it years ago and all the guns went off the noise was so loud that all the little kids in the audience started crying.
Great vlog Jordan, always loved the Tombstone story and history. Val Kilmer should of gotten the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Tombstone as Doc Holliday.
I love hearing about Tombstone and Birdcage. One of my favorite movies of all time was "Tombstone", with Kurt Russell. I would love to go back in time for a day to see how they lived in those days. Thank you for a great vlog, Jordan. Love it. ALMOST 100,000 SUBSCRIBERS!!! What will you do special when you hit that mark? Cant wait to see. Much love to you and Jah❤❤❤🦁
Have been to Tombstone twice many years ago. One grave at Boot Hill is marked like this: “Here lies Lester Moore. Four slugs from a .44. No Les no Moore”. Tombstone is a great place to visit and explore.
Tombstone looks a lot different then it did in 1974, when I last visited. I remember as a kid spending about an hour and a half reading Tombstones at Boothill! Some interesting stories for sure! I love the movie Tombstone, Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer did an excellent job. Wish I could get to Arizona to show this to my 15 year old son, he is Autistic and Tombstone has been his favorite movie since he was a toddler!
Yes!!! And Jordan went up that stair well Jason and Grant did and then he went down the stairs that the “lady with the bonnet” would’ve!!! It’s the room with the black funeral coach.
If I remember right, they chased after something or someone they saw heading down the stairs into a back room at an unnaturally swift speed and said to each other "Did you see that?" So they tried an experiment: They kept to themselves the details of what they saw and were interviewed on the spot separately by one of their guys - and they both came up with the same description, of an older lady in a white bonnet with period clothing.
Awesome memories. I went to tombstone in 2009 while lived in AZ, just before moving back to OH. I still have the 2 Native American blankets i bought there! My dad went to the Yukon years ago, and we have photos of a Big Nose Kate saloon up there! Thanks for sharing. Safe travels
What a great vlog love all this history how sad for all the people who died a very hard to live then and stay alive all the bars now a fun place Thanks Jordan for this vlog love to visit sometime Lots of Love to Amy Jah and Hi to all Lionheart's Marie Dublin Ireland
That was fun and informative. I love the old Gold rush towns.. The graveyard looks strange with the big stones... Yeah these towns are very touristy but they are still alot of fun.. I really enjoyed both of the Tombstone vlogs... Great work Jordan
While taking a picture next to one of the cribs inside the ok corral, my husband's wallet was flipped out of his back pocket. I was standing behind him and say it happen. He jerked around and grabbed his pocket real quick and thought I did it. I was so shocked at what I just saw happen that it took me a few minutes to tell him what really happened. That night we both woke up bcuz the stage coach kept stopping under our window ( right across from the birdcage) and the horses bridal kept jangling making loud noises. We finally looked out the window to tell the driver to go away and saw that the street was empty and the stagecoach was nowhere around. ..yeah, tombstone is very haunted!!
Virgil Earp is buried in Portland, because his last wife was from Oregon and had him moved here, which is interesting to me because my parents, my older brother, two aunts and uncles and a cousin are all buried in the same cemetery. Wyatt of course is in Colma, with his wife Josie, marked by a fairly new headstone. I’ve always been fascinated by the Earps…
I lived in Arizona for several years and never made it to Tombstone. Now thanks to you Jordan I can at least say I’ve seen it! What a fun visit and lots of very interesting history. 🤠
We live outside of Tucson and we can't believe the locals who were born and raised here who have never been to Tombstone. Some have never been out of Pima County.
Loving the travel vlogs too- Tombstone has been on my list forever. This was a great one. Your research adds dimension to all the places you visit. Great job!
I went there not long ago I went there with my uncle on the 23rd of September I got alot of great pictures I got pics of Boot Hill Cemetery including everything that shows in this video and also big nose Kate's saloon
My ex and I went there a few years ago. We were the only ones in the building but we kept hearing someone walking behind us. On the ceiling, there's holes where there was magnets. They did a show once where the girls climbed the ceiling.
Thanks Jordan for your informative and fascinating vlogs! Your energy gives such joy to your viewers! Congratulations on nearing 100k viewers. You’ve worked SO hard and it’s a wonderful channel. Favourite blogger by far 😁
Speaking of the haunted stuff the mortician's table I have seen move with my own eyes a lady who works there in the evening was talking to it there is a spirit attached to it it's a little boy. I've never really seen anything like it before it moves very slightly but it does move not back and forth either almost like a shake it's AWESOME.
Thank you for making the trip to Tombstone Arizona I'm hoping to get there someday if I don't at least I get to see it from you making this great trip thank you so much

I remember when I was a child in the 1960s my parents went to petticoat junction and I witnessed s street fight! Pretty cool as I still remember it!! We also rode a train and we were given guns to fight off the Indians and I did not know they were not real and I bonked one of them over the head! I thought my daddy would never quit laughing!

Wow, the Birdcage Theatre is original!
Yep. It had been sealed up for about 50-60 yrs before opening it up to the public. Most if not all the relics/antiques are original to the Birdcage.
The fact that the mirror was never broken behind the bar is pretty amazing
