Superb Cinematic Video! Love every second of it :) I always watch videos like yours cause the seem to inspire me for my own work. It is awesome :) Please continue making videos like that to inspire people like me! Love your video :)
Beautiful video, very impressed with the quality of the sigma 30mm. I bought one today, can’t wait to go to the mountains and take some pictures and video. 👌
I was looking for cinematic video with this lens like Yours. I thought that i need 16mm and i was wrong. This 30mm lens is what i need! Thank you for your job and for inspire me!
Should I buy an extra sigma 30mm lens if I already have sigma 16mm lens or I should go with a gimbal like zhiyon webbil S at similar price point which I don't have ?
I have the same problem. I probably should have got the Sony 1.8 oss, but the Sigma has divine IQ. I have a solution that works well: the glidecam (or steadicam). I have no microjitters in the footage, though using a glidecam takes a little practice. I thought of a gimbal but many are prone to microjitters.
Really useful thank you. I'm binge watching tonight. I still haven't bought my kit for video and was looking at the Sigma 30 and 52's with an A6700 so this is really useful for me. Shame about the chromatic aberrations in the sun beam shots on this lens. I'm really torn, I used to be a pro photographer and I still have a lot of beautiful full frame lenses for Nikon but I know Nikon doesn't have the best reputation amongst videographers. My current DSLR isn't great for video as there is no focus peaking and my eyes are getting told to rely on the viewfinder. Tempting to go Nikon full frame, but I really do like the idea of a nice light crop sensor Sony!
Hey there, those are some beautiful shots! How does this lens perform without gimbal / in body stabilization? I'm having a tough time deciding on getting this or a gimbal first
@@TheCameraManReviews I got this one for my kit lense 49 mm on aliexpress, but a cross appears at the average and maximum values. now i only buy fixed filters
That is just down to personal preference, both are good. The 16mm will offer a wider field of view, where as the 30mm is a bit tighter but a more normal (what we see) field of view.
*JUST bought the lens on the 19th and Got it Today and Looking forward to using it Soon, Living in Alaska makes it difficult to Do Video in the Cold lmao. But Yes I love the build quality of it. *
Hi, good question. I use a variable ND filter and this would still be a very low F setting. Probably around F2.8. Shutterspeed is always 60, double my Frame Rate which is 30 ISO 100.
Hello sir.IAM HAN FROM MALAYSIA.CAN U PLEASE HELP ME SO SETTING MY CAMERA A6300 AND USING THIS LENSE...ISO AND SO ON..IF I SHOOT INDOOR OR OUTDOORR BEST AND PERFRCT VIDEO SHOOT
@@arturrostkowski2467 Hi man! So yeah i basically rigged it out with a cage, handle, sideshoe, mic, and then i hold it with a heavy tripod, and smooth body movement! Does the trick in most of the cases, however i am going to buy a steadycam soon, they are cheap and are going to do even better. The camera is amazing. Love it. Gonna invest in a OSS lens in the future when money swings in the right direction, but as for now i am totally in love with this config!
@@lilugoart I'm still fighting with myself to buy it..one part is pushing me to invest ..another is covincing that sony glass with oss is really expensive if we talk about 1.4 - .2.8 f. And one more reason the battle is so neck in neck is because a6400 is a relatively small, compact APS-C camera, convenient for traveling, pick and shoot, but steadycam totally ruins this approach - additional gear to charge and transport :(
IMO, a6400 with lences without oss is useless for any sort of motion, even small like ninja walk. You cannot do anything with the shakiness without stabilization. This combo (a6400 + sigma) is good only for tripod still shooting or gimbal. What do you think ?
@@lvrvisuals7800 I have the Ronin SC, but I cannot get smooth enough footage, it still gives me jittery motion. Then again I have got fat hands and long arms, plus an awful NinjA Walk. LOL.
@@TheCameraManReviews Haha. I recently upgraded from the SC to the RS2 and the difference in smoothness is pretty big. I assume thats the reason why the RS2 is doing a good job stabilizing the A6400 sigma combo. I did had some jitters with the SC aswell, and i dont have fat hands lol. So we cant blame your hands for it! Blame the older DJI tech.

@@mylifefilmproduction I'm sorry my video hasn't met your requirements. My intentions is not to deceive, but my work is 75% tripod work. You see I come from a photography background, I try to bridge the gap from a photo to video, where any shot can be a single photo, with movement. This is my style. Could you explain how you did the "slow zoom" at 0:26 and the other shots? like did you pan out in post, or does the camera has this function
That si done in post, a little bit of digital zoom out.

I think I was using a variable ND, if I recall.
Hi. Tell me please what about pink-violet color fringing on f1.4 in video, is it there?
the only issue I see in these shots is the purple fringing. other than that, looks great

Hello, does it crop if you record 4K? My camera is A5100. Thanks
On the a6400 if you use 4K 24fps Superfine mode it does not, but it you use 30fps standard it does very slightly. I prefer the 30fps.
Trying to decide whether to get this lens or not for my Sony A7III, it’s this or the Sony 35mm!
Yeah this is a ASPC lens, you might be best getting the 35mm FE Sony lens.
