    I used 3035 speaker glue, it worked perfectly. It grabs instantly but can be repositioned if needed.

    If the cloth is coming away at the edges, just use a hot iron to melt it back down.

    Great work, I was thinking about how to get the tension right but it looks a lot simpler than expected. Recently been given a pair of old IMF TLS-80 speakers in a sorry state and so far I’ve restored most of the cabinet work but was wondering how to tackle the plucked grills. Now I know, cheers 👍

    I have some nice Sony tower spkrs yeah I know I had JBL b4. But these are very similar in size shape as 1s in the video. No tears just uv made the color wash out or fade. I was wondering is it that ez. I'd think the fabric could be spray dyed? The finished grill looked like new but I'm worried bout material quality. Availability.... I'm just hesitant in tearing off a fabric and doing a crappy job. I'm good with my hands build and repair guitars. But fabric and upholstery always intimidated me. Is the link for fabric supply chain good????

    The screens across the front should protect the drivers from any carelessly discarded panties that may inadvertently disrupt the audio from reaching the listener.

    How long is the double sided tape supposes to last, especially in a place where the old cloth was damaged by sunlight?

    • @Techscrews
      @Techscrews  Рік тому

      it depends on double sided tape brand. The spec of the adhesive tape needs to be checked, see how much heat it can withstand, before becoming flexible

    This is easy if you want an ok job but if you want it perfect its requires a lot of patience

    ...it has been two years almost - did the double tape hold ?? (i tend to doubt this, double tape doesn't hold anything for too long)

    • @Techscrews
      @Techscrews  Рік тому

      No problem since I installed them. If you buy the Tesa manufactured tape and it is not under load, then it holds spectacularly.
