That part at the end where he's talking about spell-casting having a language and using ASL signs is a pretty good summary of what Vocal and Somatic spell components are.

Saw the movie last night I actually thought it was really good, as someone who's never played a game of d&d, but is aware of a decent amount of a mechanics in the lore lol. I love Hector's excitement and everything he does, perfect person to interview these people!

Just saw it, it was good. Not great, not spectacular, but a solid piece of popcorn entertainment, which is a big step up from anything Dnd has managed on the big screen before. Conservative but lovable, heavily reminiscent of the first Guardians of the Galaxy, but it successfully captured the feel and joy of a chaotic campaign of Dnd in all the best ways. Plans were made and failed and backup plans were bodged together, dumb lovable barbarians annoyed bumbling wizards, a paladin showed up to be too pure for this wicked world but too tough to die, and plenty of time was made for banter and conversation and interpersonal stuff, which is the real point of Dnd. Saw it with my group I’ve been playing with for over a decade; the real dnd is the friends we make along the way.
So, yeah. They got it right. I hope next time they get a little more bold and cinematic and really give us that fantasy epic vibe, but this was a solid start, and the filmmakers were right not to bite off more than they could chew for the first one.

I saw it - excellently done. Funny, plot twists and lots of easter eggs for D&D enthusiasts. My wife and daughter also enjoyed it and my wife had no background understanding of the game. I would also watch it again!

I don't know if someone did it intentionally but come on Simon the Sorcerer. That is a point and click adventure game from the 1990s.

I am so unbelievably happy with this movie. Also I did not realize that Sweets was one of the directors. Makes me love it even more now.

Doing some work and someone gave me an interesting advice for my Dragonborn Paladin receiving a weapon that was made by the grief of a Lawful Neutral Blue Dragon since my character’s father was this Dragon’s friend and when this Dragonborn died, the Blue Dragon’s mourning and vengeance towards the creature that murdered her friend shaped the sapphire given to her by her friend into a Draconic Weapon fitted for a Dragonborn Paladin which has parts of the Dead Dragonborn’s lingering power as well as some of the Blue Dragon’s power absorbed into it

Viendo a los actores ya se podía intuir que la cosa iba bastante bien, me alegro de que hayan hecho una buena película inspirada en D&D. ¡¡Gracias!!

I think it would have been a funny nod if at a random pivot moment it froze and you had the actors hectically talking about a plan, it unfreezes, they try the plan, then it just all goes wrong. Just like a real game.

I wanted to see John wick 4 and so I settled for dungeons & dragons honor among thieves. But... it was a blast! I want to see it again! (Although yes it did feel like the movie was made for a younger age group)

Hector saying he's played a few times... I know it's not exactly dnd, but don't act like you're not everyone's favourite cat alien children throwing person

It’s too bad this movie was hot, wet garbage.

It's too bad you're wrong. The movie was great. The idiot curse continues. I was a fun adventure romp like Marvel films were back at the beginning.

It's the lack of dice is it not? Or perhaps brains on your part? It is unfortunate that you hated it, but take heart that people hate you too! And you can take all that hate and resentment and let it fester until you finally murder someone!

I really liked it, myself. Fun, exciting, a bit witty, well-produced.
