Jonny, Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and for breaking down a complex sound/technique so that it can be more easily understood and executed. Bravo!
Brother you are an incredible teacher. I know a few incredible individuals in their own respective field, who have found great joy in your teaching and style. Sending strength Jonny!
Jonny, what you're doing is great! The amount of knowledge you've learned and absorbed through the years is incredible. This is proof that no matter if a musician is self taught and talented, every musician should take lessons preferably jazz and improving. Everyone, no matter how good you think you are or no matter how much you think you know. And I thought of something funny. Unlike watching workout videos where someone is ripped, huge and shredded, no one can look at your videos and say oh, well Jonny's only that good because he takes steroids. This is all knowledge and there's no secret drug you take.
Just started teaching myself piano and am not capable of any of the things you do here, but I'm going to tag your channel and come back when I feel ready for that next level. Working on the basic thumb tuck and smoothing out my scales, so it may be a while. Both hands working together has been a challenge.
Great lesson great sound Jonny. I wanted to hear a longer example of improv over Fly Me To The Moon using that Bebop scale. That example solo you played really SWINGS hard. Please consider a lesson dedicated to imrpov over FMTTM over the FULL form of the song.
After going around the houses a bit with UA-cam videos about bebop lines, your tutorial solidifies the theory behind it concisely. I’d started to lose my way a bit with “passing” notes because I was getting a lazy trying to use say the b6 , b3 , b9 of the parent key signature over other chords in the song (some work , some don’t) rather than thinking of it modally and getting lines that flow. Thank you for setting me back on the road 👍
Thanks for this tutorial. I feel intuitively that you've touched on some really important and instructive aspects for anyone interested in developing their bebop vocabulary. The method you recommend also seems right. The only problem for me (alas) is that my level of English is too inadequate. This is frustrating because I have to guess what you're saying, rather than actually understanding it. Maybe one day there'll be a French translation....
Dear Jonny. Great videos, very helpful! I have a question: what program/app do you use to make the upper keyboard and the pressed piano keys visible? I am a classroom music teacher and I am looking for a way to visualize on the screen what I am pressing on the keyboard for the class. If you could share this, I really would appreciate it. Thank you very much!
Is there a way to purchase this course without a membership? Just this individual course? I just have too many memberships and don't want to add another one.
It's without doubt very interresting and instructive BUT, could it's possible please to have a French subtitles one day? It's would be lovely and really helpful. Thanks and Enjoy!

@@PianoWithJonny thank you!!
🙏🏽🙂 gracias!
thx
Cool!
Some can play. Some can play and teach. He does both
He plays and plays and teaches, yes.
I'm so proud of Johnny . I taught him everything he knows

We don't sell individual courses but you can cancel your membership at any time!
I'm confused. How would you spell a bebop scale that works with e minor sixth chord?
Look up the Barry Harris lessons. Johnny really simplifies these concepts and shows you how to apply them in song scenarios.
Does anyone know what piano visualizer this is?
Midiculous
Genial!!!
Great guidelines, but jazz isn't restricted by your thoughts on it.
