I watched this video 3 times already, then you inspired me to order the unit to practice on, you are not getting enough recognition for your editing and also your workmanship.

*for second power transistor in parallel for 5-6A bellow :
    1)Transformer 24V AC & 6A of AC current,
2)You need to add another similar output transistor Q5 in parallel with Q4,
so that the bases of both transistors should be joined together,
the collectors of the two transistors should be joined together,
and from emitters of each transistor to the output positive teminal
    should be add one resistor 0.22 Ohm / 3 or 5 W,
in order to balance the power load of the two parallel
connected output transistors Q4 and Q5.
These transistors have to be mounted on larger aluminum heat sink.
    3) Diodes (1N5408) from bridge rectifier should be replaced by higher
current ones, or instead of using 4 diodes, an adequate higher current
    bridge rectifier can be used.
    4)The resistor R7 (0,47 ohm - 5W) have to be replaced with 0.33 ohms - 12W resistor.
5)The resistor R18 (56k) that determines the maximum output current that
then can be accurately limited to a lower value with potentiometer P2,
should be replaced with 33k resistor.
6)For higher output current, it is necessary to put another electrolytic
capacitor with a larger capacity in parallel to capacitor C1 (eg 4700μF /
50 V). It is best if you apply the rule that for every one ampere
output current, it is necessary to predict at least 1000μF capacity for
    C1 capacitor.

if you don't show its operation the purpose of the video is lost. Anyone coming here to see this video would definitely know how to assemble any PCB circuit... that too with a legend on it

How should the 100k potentiometer be set, it was missing from my kit and so I had to buy it separately

Hello everyone: This circuit is quite good but the power transformer should not exceed 20V. The DC voltage in the supply (+ Vdc, -Vdc) in the operational ones when setting the 24V voltage exceeds the maximum values for which the manufacturer designed it. The maximum data sheet voltage says + Vcc - (- Vcc) = 36V, recommended 30V. It may work well for a while and then the operational ones will burn.

U need much bigger heatsink.. that transistor can give off 90+ watts at full dead short on the output. And that small heatsink will over heat fast & then the transistor also has no thermal protection so it will just fry and go dead short and kill your load and other parts. It will be better if u use a computer cpu heatsink & a thermal 70°c thermal cut off.

I just received mine today but I'm confused with one resistor. There's one with 100k ohm but It's written something else (270k) on the place to put it like the blue part with the little screw is 100k. If so, the seller made a mistake

Good afternoon, I bought a 24 + 24 3A transformer and when connecting and measuring with a multimeter I saw that the output voltage is 25v, I would like to know if I can connect this board with this Trafo?

Hello where is the test, I'm interested in how the potentiometer for amps and volts turn, I've taken a multi-turn potentiometer for Volt, I can only recommend. At the first test, check the temperature at the R2 83 ohms, which is a delicate place in the peat.

Lahis, I just sent you an email about this power supply, hope to hear a response from you, I can only get one output of 14.6Vdc, no matter where I turn the potentiometers I still get no change in the output. please share your thoughts and comments if you could.

hey i have a Problem, i have the same board and used an led plug (24v) for the input but it doesnt work. when i measure the input voltage it was 31v (idk why) und the output voltage was -0,59v. is my board fried or does anyone have an idea what could be the problem? thanks

    • @LahisTechLT
      @LahisTechLT  3 роки тому +1

The input voltage should be AC with a center-tapped transformer.

1- Without LED You lost main idea of this project
2- Power items MUST be ventilated, so not touched the board - power diodes, resistors, etc.
3- Heat sinks must be connected to transistor BEFORE this transistor soldered.
