Who says u shouldn't watch K3G?? I think u should definitely watch it, it will be so different for u. Only thing, is that this movie a bit dramatic, but still i feel u guys will love it. Every scene in this movie is beautiful, so artistic and full of emotions. K3G is a complete package of emotions, love, hate and family values
I don't know who's telling u not to watch this but this movie is everything 90s bollywood stood for!! Even though times have changed so much, I can still thoroughly enjoy this movie (albeit by ignoring some problematic aspects which are just staple for bollywood). Please watch it. I think u know enough about Indian culture and 90s bollywood by now to be able to enjoy it. Hope u have fun!!!
But wouldn’t this be consider 20’s Bollywood and not 90’s since it was release in 2001? But regardless it is a classic Bollywood with songs, emotions, and acting not what we have not with all these modern Indian songs.

I maybe wouldn't say to watch this to people who just started getting into bollywood, but for me it was my first indian movie and always will be close to my heart. it's over the top, yes, but it's also beautiful with great message
@@xxShadowOfTheWolfxx I would say props to you for k3g to be your first Indian movie not saying it is a bad movie or anything just that in my opinion one has to really understand Indian values to really understand the emotions and what everyone likes to called over the top emotional scenes in this movie and of course it is super long at close too 3.5 hrs :)
@@Jetsfan1985 well, i was young back then, so i didn't really understand what "overacting" is. i had hard time focusing, that's true, but starting with such a long movie, i never had a problem with any other movie anymore. now 2 hours long bollywood movie is short for me. with values, i think just watching movies from younger age helped me learn about the culture. and now with age i read and watch more stuff and learn even more. i actually prefer older movies, i feel more connected to them. but at the same time i see problems and question acting more now

I agree with you that I have watch so many long Indian movies than now when I see a movie that is under 2hr 30mins I hate it since I do believe you make a movie longer you can structure your story better but the movie can also be boring so it depends on the director most times. Yeah. I'd say they MUST watch it. This is an iconic movie, and you cannot claim to have a comprehensive understanding of the history of Indian cinema if you haven't watched this.

I think you should watch k3g DDLJ, kuch kuch hota hai, and many more classics. I know some ppl don't recommended you all of these movies because they know that as foreigners you might be get bored but now u both know about indian culture n used to our traditions so I m sure u gonna like it.and u will get to know y they r everyone's favorite......sometimes simple live stories touches our heart... I feel you'll enjoy it more than we think. Simply for the actors it has- not the acting, not the story but just the melodrama and the songs - and just because you have grown to know and love our stars(notice I am not saying actors) too. You won't love the movie but I think you'll enjoy it.

Rick and Korbin if you have sat through Devdas then you can easily sit through this as well. You have just seen old Indian classics, now it is time to see some modern day classics like k3g, ddlj etc to know why really some of these superstars you react to are the superstars. You might not like them at all but still you should see them to get a better understanding of Indian cinema. Even if there is no great storytelling or ground breaking artistry in these movies, there is great emotional core in these films which is very unique to indian cinema and defined the 90s and the 2000s. Srk is called the king of romance for excelling in these roles !!
K3G is the quintessential bollywood film if there ever was one. Watch it if you can just to see how the Hindi film industry used to make movies back in the early 2000s.
It's the most rewatchable of the 90s-2000s family films. Each of the characters have a distinct personality. The women have a voice for a change. Barjatya films and the rest look dated.
This used to be one of those "bandwagon" SRK films through which foreigners back in the 2000's got introduced to Bollywood. Bollywood was pretty much synonymous with SRK 2 decades ago. And many of his romance films were popular overseas. K3G made him famous in Germany and South East Asia. I think a lot of 90's kids from the Middle East know SRK because of movies like K3G too.
I like K3G. It's feel good and reminds me of a time when Bollywood had a lil bit of that magical element in it and had great music...and Hrithik and Kareena were super young and pretty. But, yes...the plot itself hasn't aged well. Most still go back to it for the nostalgia since purely romance films are pretty much non-existent now. It's melodramatic , so I don't see Korbin enjoying this. You may enjoy bits and pieces here and there since the chemistry between all the actors is really good and the film has many iconic lines of dialogue that are remembered even now

I'm not from India(so I don't know how the people from India feel about this movie) but I freaking love this movie. It is 3 hours long so you have to buckle yourself in but it's a fantastic ride. Most times I've seen people telling others to stay away is because an American audience might have trouble enjoying the feel due to culture differences. But even with those differences I enjoyed it. (I don't know if you guys have already watched it or not, but if you haven't, here's my recommendation)

Guys, watch this movie!!! Don’t go by the reviews. These are the kind of films that set benchmarks for Hindi cinema is many ways, and have lasting cultural impacts. Even if the film is corny AF, it’s still important to watch if you want to understand Hindi cinema. It’s one of those milestone movies that whether good or bad, it’s a must watch.

This is one of those movies that have left a good memory in our teenage years.
It’s good to watch. It’s like typical Indian family culture drama filled with tons of emotion. It’s long of course and a lot the family ties they show are mostly exist in desi culture which is way different from English culture.
