Those insect people would be neat as player character options. I like the art in general. I'm not looking for another standard fantasy rpg, but I hope that artist does the illustrations for some other types of games.
Free league artwork is always top notch but the content is always lacking. For example, in the alien RPG, they have so much spacing between paragraphs and sections that you get very few options for players or other interesting details or lore.
Way better than its darker Forbidden Lands brother, The Book of Beasts. Feature-wise, they are really similar, though, with the attack tables for the monsters and all.
Maybe I'm way off base, I kind of think dragon bane is like a good first half step towards the OSR. Just in terms of greater strategic combat with the action economy and you know resource management
Interesting precisely no-one, I received my Portents of the Degloved Hand pledge today. It’s a coffin-shaped box j holding coffin-shaped cards - the Portents - and a pair of rectangular D2. I think it’s for Mork Borg but I may just use the box for dice.

Dragonbane is a great game for solo as well with the monster attacks matrix, which keeps you on your toes.

It would be less expensive in PDF form but then snobs like you wouldn't review it..
