- In this episode, we're listing our top selection of some of the best multihull sailing yachts you can buy at around $500,000, together with their price and features. We'll share our top pick near the end!
It’s a well-known fact that one of the most significant benefits of a multihull is its stability. This kind of vessel is highly dependable, not only at sea, where the tiresome business of heeling actually does not, or should not, occur to any significant degree but even while at anchor. It greatly expands a sailor’s anchorage options to include those impacted by surface waves, where a slight shift in wind direction can make a previously smooth, calm anchorage intolerable for a monohull. Its comparatively shoal draught expands the options even further. Multihull sailing yachts have numerous advantages including increased speed, a more stable platform, increased protection from the elements, and more living spaces.

Multihulls :)
Seawind 1260 for me. About $770,000 Aussie.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! WISH IT WAS ME!!
The lagoon looks like great bang for buck, so I looked at the lagoon 46, googling it, and it seems far more expensive than should be on this list.
I think you should be an interior house designer as your video says nothing regards sailing ability, only how nice the cushions are. Check out the polar diagrams for these boats. Except for the Seawind they dont make good reading. The finish of Lagoons and Leopards also leave much to be desired.
I totally agree with your list. Well researched and factual. For me the FP Lucia/Isla 40 is my dream cat and, her big sister the Astrea 42 is essentially the same boat. I do however think you are underestimating the costs just a bit. For example as of today(7/31/2021) on Yatchworld a used Lucia 40(in the states) goes for around 500K+. Her newer big sister would fetch at least an extra 150K.
Fair point! I usually just go with the MSRPs, not including taxes and other fees (such as agent's fees!). Anyway, thanks for sharing, I appreciate it.
I'd prefer the Astrea 42 over the Lucia for the master head. I like having windows in my bathrooms.
Lots of problems with the Lagoon's!! Cracked bulkheads!!
I like them. Only problem is that i would prefer one with a more darker wooden interior design to give a nice boat feeling
thank you for the info
Thank you for watching and welcome to our community!
My favorite is a Lagoon 46
Préférence pour le Bali 4.0, mais le Bali 4.4 reste à mon avis le meilleur compromis ...
Would love to see your list of eco hybrid sailing yachts with hydro regeneration and solar electric motors for offgrid sailing without going into a marina
Great suggestion! Duly noted.
Thank you!
You're welcome! I'm glad you found the video helpful. Is there anything specific about the video or the topic that you'd like to discuss or know more about?
Well. the lagoon 46 is 400,000 dollars more than you are stating. Used they run around 900,000 dollars.
Where do you place Outremer cats?
i love the leopard 42, and i like the price to we,ll see what the lottery says
I love the leopard mostly because of the forward doorway to the bow 🎉 that is a deal Maker for me. just waiting for a good deal before I buy. The 50' is my dream but that's twice what I want to spend on a toy.
Yeah I love the forward door on the leopards. I'd go for a used 42 if I went leopard. I like Privilege Catamarans as well though. Either way I have to wait another couple years before I can buy a boat though 😐
Number 1, 3 and 4.
Excellent choices, if I do say so myself!
👍💪
What has happened to the Maverick
IDK about those Lagoons....
If anyone can sell me an 1190 for around 500K I will buy it off them now. They are as rare as hens teeth and sell for around 800K.
Looks like the performances of these cats are quite different...
