Great w/ details! I'm WAGING WAR against Seattle's TOXIC SMOKE EVENTS (FIRES) w/ TWO AirMega 200M. Just received 2nd one.
Last year I was horrified to find that the Silveronyx Clean Air Purifier I'd bought the summer before to be ready for this was worthless - literally couldn't tell any difference. Took a month, but received m 1st AirMega - finally could sleep, IF it was next to my bed w/ the air column shooting into my face. One AirMega could not keep up w/ the smoke that poured into my old 650 sf apt (formerly charming apartment)! With TWO AirMegas...PLUS my attempt at sealing my windows & door w/ products bought online... HOPE this works!

Great video! Never even knew about that little side sensor, and I've had my filter for several years. Did I hear you say we should only run it for 8 hours a day? I leave mine on 24/7.

The max2 replacement filters have more effective carbon media, it's a pound of pellets in a honeycomb sheet. This lasts just as long as HEPA, seems like it's the same cost. This filter came with my airmega.

Are you in the States? I live in Canada. I would like to buy a Coway AP1512HH through Amazon but worry about having to mail it to the States for repairs. I also worry about having to buy the filters through Amazon and therefore having to pay for shipping. Any suggestions? Thanks.

It kind of ramps up if it's sensing air impurities. So it should quiet down on its own. Leave it on low
