I've got a list of boxes that I've decided to start getting twice a year, in my birth month of June and in October. I'm very much a Halloween girl and I love the differences in my favorite time of year and the time of year I was born in. I don't make enough to get them all year round, so I figured picking twice a year would be a way to get the benefit of the boxes and manage the cost. 📦

My biggest issue with subscription boxes is the eco-impact of them. I like to be intentional about what I buy and I buy things used when I can, so getting a box of things every month that I might not want doesn’t appeal to me. A digital subscription box on the other hand would be super cool for me. I think it would be awesome if a place like this had an annual digital subscription that came with a certificate for a couple of pieces a year (or gift certificate) from their store so if you found an item that you wanted to get along with the digital information, you could 📦

I used to get a stationary box from the US to here in the UK and because of the VAT charge on imports now here, I can’t justify spending over $120 because of the extra charges as well as shipping costs increased too. It’s such a shame because I loved the box. I’m currently putting together my own hedgewitch subscription box because I don’t think any of the US ones ship to the UK - but I’m always happy to post to the US as long as the recipient is happy to pay the shipping costs because they’re expensive going from the UK to the US too. It’s great to watch these videos for ideas - especially as I didn’t think about the outside packaging possibly causing a problem in more conservative households. Thanks for that tip ❤ Kate
Hmmm I think a con for the boxes is that when you want to stop the boxes, if you miss the window you'll get charged again when you might really not be able to afford it.
I do wish more sub boxes used the YourCreative Studio idea of only paying for a few sub boxes up front. Way easier to budget for!
I think there should be a few options for subscriptions. Recurring 1 month, 3 month, and 6 months payment, as well as being able to get just 1, 2, or 3 boxes at a time.
I've been using The Witch Box, for nearly a year now, I like them because I recieve items I can use often or rarely, it's very botanical heavy, and the owner sources many of them from her own garden in southern California, I've learned an immense amount of information from the deep dive and meditation videos, the live Oracle reading and witch chat is amazing, I've been enjoying Mindful souls Devine box for nearly 6 months the Devine tier includes 2 extra mystery items, and a book for an additional $20 , the items I don't feel are for me can make nice little gifts for other people. I'm probably going to stay with witch box past the year I decided to try, I find the additional education very helpful as an adult who has been raised in a multi religious home, tiying together the knowledge I didn't realize was craft based with genuine affirmation of my witchy truth 🦄

I have to be honest I love the rock box best, I love rocks and crystals, I love seeing all the pretty ones you get. 📦📦 I ordered the Texas Witch box last April and never received it .I emailed them monthly never got a response I even put on there instagram never got a response but they did take the money pretty quick. So warning to others don't get that one.
Yikes! I've heard a few bad things about them. Sorry that happened to you.
I've tried a bunch of subscription boxes as well. Both witchy and non witchy. My favorite witchy box( they stopped carrying it for a while) was soul spell. But I also purchased a $350 witchy box from an etsy store to get a strong foundation in my Magick practice and that was my favorite box thus far.

Just my two cents: I'm retired, and on a very limited budget, so I only buy what I need or want. I also like to support the local botanicas or "witchy"shops, but the subscription boxes do sound fun.
Certainly! This video was directly towards subscription boxes. But knowing what you need and getting which tools and ingredients you'll be working with on your own is the one of the first options, and what it usually done by practitioners. 😊
I’m recently retired and like to support local business too. I don’t know if your area is different than mine but in my area most of the stores here have the exact same items. Seriously we have 6 stores within an hour of us and all pretty much the same. Some may have more cards and books some herbs and incense but pretty much the same. I have been in isolation for the past 2+ years (my husband is extremely high risk) and started getting witches moon and roots (while I was still working remotely then) and it’s been wonderful. I’ve been exposed to things I wouldn’t have and learnt a lot about myself in the process.
The stores in my area are about the same too. Also on multiple occasions, I see the same exact items there that are from other larger retailers, but they're selling if for more than twice the price!
@@ElenaEnchanted yes; I also purchased items off of Azure Green and I see many of the items there so I have an idea what they are paying. The items in the boxes are usually more unquiet. My husband and I watched your video going to Salem. We are heading up there in May so excited

I did get the Tamed Wild box for a year, but realized that I wasn't using everything, and was running short on space. I still get the Crystal Council small box, because I love crystals. I enjoy watching the unboxing videos, and now if I see a box that looks really nice, I'll order just that box (if available) from the company. That also helps my wallet. 🎁

I have a few subscription boxes but I love the companies that offer a one time purchase, so if I like the theme I can get that one box. Sometimes I also skip a month and try something new. Thanks for the wonderful video 🌜🌝🌛

A cautionary tale: Had a HORRID customer service experience with Wolf and Thyme regarding their Bone and Steel box. Had nothing to do about requesting a refund and not getting one. Had more to do with social media engagement, but it was enough.
I've really enjoyed receiving Witches Roots. There are about 4 boxes per year where the big item doesn't fit in my realm of practice but I love having consumable supplies for every month. I'd rather put that money toward a small business.

I love the witches moon box. Every month is worth the price of the box. Any items i don’t connect with I give as Yule presents. I’m going to bing watch a crystal playlists as I’m very interested in that.

Shipping is the main reason I have not gotten any boxes. I live in Sweden and I have NOT found any EU based box subscriptions. All the ones I see are in the USA or UK, which means vat, customs on top of the price which makes them very expensive! And yes you are right also about packaging too, had a friend order one from the USA to here and it showed up with the oil leaking out and other things broken!

As I am in the UK the cost of shipping from your side of the pond means it is not possible to get your fabulous boxes. i watch the unboxings from you and others practically drooling over the fantastic products you can get. I subscribe to Witch Casket and Freyas Cauldron in the UK . I also subscribed to Cures and Curses but they have now ceased trading. That was an ace box, loved it. and will miss it

Hi Elena! Great idea for a video and I love your plants in your background. You've hit the nail on the head with these ideas. And I feel like boxes have become more unpredictable lately too. Very up and down from month to month. Oh I do get annoyed when boxes don't disclose ingredients in their teas or oils. I can't think of anything else to add. My two favorite boxes are Matter and Beyond the Parks. There was a more metaphysical one that I wanted to try called Blessed in Sedona but it looks like it has already gone out of business. I just saw a sale around the holidays for it, I should have went for it...but maybe it turned out for the best.
Hi Jessie! Thank you 💜 Yes, the whole ingredients thing can become an issue. Thankfully I don't have any sensitivities or allergies, but I can only image those who do how nerve-wracking it could be.
@@ElenaEnchanted you're welcome. Thankfully with oils it's just certain scents that can give me a headache, but I can pick them out of a blend no problem and avoid it. The issue is an unlabeled tea. I can't have anything with caffeine, so I have to be really careful.
I find your unboxing videos interesting, I can't get them because of my sensitivity to most fragrances especially blended ones. I get terrible migraines so incense or stinky sticks are out of the question. I do grow my own roses, lavender, sage...etc and dry them for any potpourri or sachets. So I'd love the plants but not the herb mixtures, the crystals but not the oils. So I visit our local Wandering Stones shop for my crystals. 📦
I think it's wonderful how you're able to understand what works best for you and what you enjoy working with best. 💜💜💜 Plus, growing your own herbs and flowers is always one of the best things you can do! It makes your connection to it's correspondences so much stronger.
I've been seriously considering starting the Withches Roots because of you 'reviews'. I'd like to learn more about herbs, but get overwhelmed. The boxes seem like a good solution
It's a good place to start if you're not sure which herbs to go with. There are also other subscription boxes that have similar attributes to the witches roots, by sharing a specific herb for the month. Do some research and see which one you resonate with best 💜💜💜

I get wolf and thyme every month and loving it. I've gotten a bunch of other boxes to try out and now I feel like I have too much stuff and not enough time to use them. I should take a break from boxes but I also dont want to miss out 🙃 i've really tried to cut back and hopefully will stick with 1-2 subscriptions MAX with occasional breaks

I had never purchased a mystery box so decided to try one. Oh how disappointed I was, the items looked to be old stock and nothing of any consequence in the box oh unless you think a part of what looked like a house brick. there was no thought to presentation I messaged the seller, she never even bothered to respond. Some I see on Yourtube are lovely Not sure I will try it again,

That certainly would be a con! I've had some subscription boxes for a while, and with the same companies, there were almost no repeats. Although between different ones, I have received some similar, if not the same, items.

Lavender bring me financial bad luck and many of these witch boxes have lavender products. Also if buy many boxes you will have no place to put so many stuff. And these boxes can be addictive and cause you to overspend. I now don't buy so much, I want to save my money for investment. Maybe next time when I have lots of money then only spend. But then I am scared of these witch boxes often have lavender which cause me financial bad luck.

the only con you missed with out loud branding is it will scream steal me. Like my food subscription box its 300 buck worth of meat if I haven't scheduled it for my day off I may not get to have it.

That's a great option for some people for some herbs and such. Of course, the days not really an option for candles, most essential oils in any given location, art prints, BOS pages, most crystals (again in any given location), etc i don't think that going with the cheapest possible way of getting things is the primary motivation for people who are ordering subscription boxes. People order them to treat themselves to surprise boxes with little luxuries and/or things or ideas that they wouldn't necessarily be exposed to.
