    Thank you for this video 😊 sounds crazy but these kind of things worry me if I'm using them correctly or not! Only thing annoying about this steriliser is that nothing dries inside

      Yeah it does seem complicated at first and you want to get it right for your baby as there's so much to learn with a newborn. I didn't mind if things didn't dry as I only took them out when I needed them and dried the outside a bit.

      @@HomebyRC I got sick of it and got the steriliser and dryer!! It's built a lot better so doesn't fall apart getting things out and it's lovely having clean dry bottles!

    Should I wash the bottles before putting it in the sterilizer

    • @HomebyRC

      Yes you need to wash the bottles and teats before sterlizering. Tommie tippee has a really good bottle brush and I just use ecover washing up liquid or nimble.

    Once the bottles have been cleaned and steriliser can I put them in a kitchen cupboard for me to grab as when I need them or do u have to sterilise again before use?

    • @HomebyRC
      @HomebyRC  Рік тому

      It's always best to leave them in the steamer with the lid on and then its 24 hours they can stay in there for. If you take them out make sure the teats and lids are on and them to minimise any bacteria again they should be fine for 24 hours.

      We got an electric double breast pump which when you take everything apart you have to put together after sterilizing, is this OK along as my hands are clean??

      Yeah that should be fine.

    How long does your sterlize take to sterilise? Mine takes 15-20 mins

    • @HomebyRC
      @HomebyRC  Рік тому

      I'd say 10-15 minutes and even then everything is still quite hot inside.

    Hello, can you take a bottle then leave the rest inside?

    • @HomebyRC
      @HomebyRC  Рік тому

      Yes you can make up a bottle one at the time and the others can stay in the steamer with the lid closed and they are sterilized for 24 hours but then after this you will have to put the steamer on again but you probably wouldn't have too as you would have used all of the bottles by then anyway.

    Can I take one bottle at a time? Like leave the bottles inside and make one bottle whenever needed?

    • @HomebyRC
      @HomebyRC  Рік тому

      Yeah that's what I do I leave them in there and take one at a time. They tend to get all used in the day anyway so it goes on twice a day.

      Technically, you can't leave it in there as that would mean the bottle is no longer sterile.
      It is recommended to boil water and put into bottles and store them in the fridge and use within 24 hours.

      On their website it says you can leave the bottles in there with the lid closed for 24 hours this is more for when the baby is older really as you will hardly ever have to leave bottles in there for a long time as they always get used.

    hello! When you descale with the vinegar, does it not leave a smell on your bottles/dummies the next time you sterilise? Thanks!

    • @HomebyRC
      @HomebyRC  Рік тому

      When you leave it with vinegar in it, it stinks your kitchen out but once you've wiped it clean with a cloth and start using it, it doesn't smell anymore and doesn't make the bottles smell or anything.
