Not sure if I am missing anything but this doesn’t seem to be a correct way of calculating the income. It should be compared in terms of PPP. US, for instance is high income but does income above 14-15000 per annum is really enough there? You can’t properly even pay the rent and insurance cost for whole year with this much amount in US. Sorry but sometimes I feel World Bank, IMF etc avoid showing the data in terms of PPP because that results in a lot of developing countries moving up the rank.
