      She’s actually consistent in a really stupid way. Pearl refuses to make moral judgments of men specifically, because she believes it is not her place as a woman to do so. This is an asinine position that has no basis in tradition or Christianity, but somehow that is the position she has come to. She doesn’t explain this clearly because she isn’t self-aware enough to recognize how bizarre this idea is to most people. This results in confusing, seemingly contradictory conversations with any normal, non-sexist person.

    It's not about who chooses the partner or initiates sex, it's about who ultimately has the power over whether the child lives or dies. A woman can pay with her life to ensure unwanted progeny doesn't survive, and deadbeat womanizers likely won't step in to save the child. It's about the realistic ends, not the moral beginnings imo

  • @luke53285

    There are a lot of stats on divorce. The constellation of these statistics and facts supports pearl here not you guys. It is a fact that women initiate more divorce. It is also a fact that women state irreconcilable differences. This alone doesn't tell the full story, because as Adam put it, the man could be just ad culpable and even james sexton roughly agrees to this point. The dtat that refutes this is the divorce rates among lesbian couples averages around 70%, and they site the same problems. Whereas gay men get divorced much less than heterosexual couples. In other words it is likely that women leave and post hoc rationalize a reason (like irreconcilable differences) in lieu of them saying they wanted to leave.

      i don't think abortion should be banned, but i do think that if women can decide to have an abortion then men should be able to decide to not support the child. sex is a mutual choice by the two, the woman getting to decide if the child lives or dies isn't.

      Every one says having a child you don't want is traumatizing, but having abortion isnt, though every study shows it is.

Like, you can’t sit there and complain about people being lazy, not wanting to work, etc., but then say that you should be able to not hire someone because they caught a drug charge when they were 20 years old or whatever.
    As silly as some people on the far-left can be when it comes to jail/crime-related issues, this is too far in the other direction.

    @2:35:11-.-Actually, I have a hypothesis that women suffrage shouldn't be considered the first wave of feminism. This is because, from what I hear, the suffrage acts didn't even call themselves feminists, and modern feminists after and criticize the first wave, so I speculated that intellectually the suffragettes and feminism have completely different origins. And so the only connection between feminism and when the suffrage is that feminists cited women suffrage as an inspiration, but didn't actually borrow many of their ideas.
    If what Sitch is saying is true, then this would support my hypothesis. It may actually be that feminism has very little relation to women's suffrage other than claiming to be the successor, and that the 60s may have saw the rise of the second wave of women suffrage, and the true first wave of feminism, as separate movements.

    • @oliviastratton2169
      @oliviastratton2169 17 днів тому

      I agree! There were people that used the term "feminism/feminist" dating back to the 1800s. But that was in Europe. In the US, the isn't documented until 1910, when the suffrage movement was already well underway and some states had already given women the vote.
      There were feminists who participated in the suffrage movement, but they just one of several factions. They don't own it.

As a consequence, the only mathematically possible ways for men as a group to have a higher [partner] count is if A). There are *a lot* less men than women (thus dividing the total by smaller number), or B). Gay/bi men are *really* dragging up the numbers.

I just assumed that when she interviewed those men she’s so obsessed with bragging about, that she just took their word for it regarding their failed relationships and never considered the possibility that they’re one-sided descriptions might be misleading. But when Lauren’s failed marriage comes up, Pearl immediately shows skepticism and points out that we only have one side of the story. If she’s smart enough to do that here, then I guess I must assume she was smart enough to get both sides of the stories of her interviewees, and her claims about how hard men have it must be based on her having the full picture and not on her arbitrarily choosing to trust men by default and distrust women.

I too thought it was stupid, until I lived in Japan for many years. I can't speak for most men, but I enjoy it because for the most part I don't want to have sex with them, I want to feel like they want to have sex with me. It seems purely narcissistic, but when you experience the loneliness that is modern Japan it really makes sense. There are so many social barriers here, especially between men and women, it's refreshing to be able to walk into a place and just start flirting with a girl without any fear of repercussions or rejection. It's great for introverts like me who otherwise get very few opportunities to practice my Japanese, flirting, and other social skills. Think of it as a "dojo" for men to practice talking to women and you will start to understand it.

  • @saisameer8771
    @saisameer8771 15 днів тому

    Okay, i will give an example using chimpanzees. So, female chimps usually choose a high status dominant male to retain high status, but they have no qualms about sneaking off and mating with less dominant but also less aggressive, more caring males. You also have to keep in mind that chimp hierarchies are very unstable. There are always other chimps forming alliances and waiting in the shadows for any moment of weakness from the alpha. The alpha is also not necessarily the biggest and strongest but the one that can form a strong enough alliance to be able to maintain status and fight off attacks from neighboring chimps, which means regularly patrolling the borders and taking the lead in territorial disputes. Maintaining satus is all about giving equal share in food, meat and grooming privileges, cus if you don't the chimps will be dissatisfied and end up forming alliances against you. Chimp societies have a surprising amount of intrigue and backstabbing going on all the time. It's not as simple as one male having all the females. Hell, some chimp societies tend to be less "patriarchal" and more...... "liberal", i guess, with females even participating in hunting and border patrol, tho obviously not as aggressive and persistent as the males.
    Things are different in the rest of the animal kingdom. The cat family for example, the females don't have any particular preferences. They mate with any male they can find. A single litter can often have multiple dads. Female mountain lions are known to share males with each other in situations where the number of males is unusually small, and the males are more than happy to oblige 😂
    Then there's the canid family, which often practice monogamy. Wolves for example are really good dads, who make sure that pups of all ages get equal share of meat. A wolf pack is basically one large nuclear family. In areas of high prey density, like Yellowstone, wolf packs can have multiple couples ( no, not polyamory, but more like you and your brother's family living in the same house ) forming rather large packs ( 13 to 15 if i remember correctly).
    I could go on forever, but the point is that mating strategies in wild are often a lot more complex and fascinating than whatever vapid nonsense the red pillers like to preach.

It was very easy to distinguish between the useful Red Pill material (self-work, confidence boosting, handling rejection, financial advice, etc.) and the not-so-useful (here's a whole playbook of pick up lines, play the character of the person that this woman would be into so she'll sleep with you, etc.) These days it seems like the Red Pill movement is 95% telling aggrieved men what they want to hear and 5% the useful self-help advice. All the tasteless jokes about her looks and the constant misrepresentation of what she means just for a "gotcha" was ridiculous. For example, her claim that younger people look better than older people. That is a universal rule that everyone is aware of. Can you find exceptions for people who started taking care of themselves later in life? Sure. But If you look at ALL 20 year old females how many of them would you be attracted to? Now the 40 years olds. Now the 60 year olds. Come on guys, you KNOW what she meant. And to then take it to imply her rule does not work because of minors, when she CLEARLY does not mean minors is absolutely asinine. You're constantly talking about taking arguments in good faith as opposed to bad faith. Can you really claim you took her takes in good faith? I doubt it.

Once the child has person hood there entitled to the right of having both its parents take care of it.
