Word on the street is he didn’t like how barba was being written. Why did the writers bring such a good character on the show for nothing ? They should have let Barba investigating through the country if they wanted to ruin his character... She said she missed him too but Stabler is back in another show.

I want to see Barba telling Stabler all the trauma he missed seeing for Benson during all the years he was gone. I want Barba telling Stabler why his abandonment of Benson was a major mistake and how it added to more trauma for her. I want Barba to tell Stabler why Benson is not ready for a romance with him because he missed all those traumatic events for Benson and Stabler does not know the woman Benson is today. I want Barba to tell Stabler that Benson moved on with Cassidy, Tucker and that he Barba is in love with Benson and was there for her through it all!! I want a triangle with Barba, Benson and Stabler! I want Benson to be given the opportunity to decide herself who is better for her and who she is in love with for herself.
Was the episode Gene (s18,e13) originally supposed to have been after Know it All (s18, e15)? We learn from The Newsroom that Barba was placed on suspension, but this deleted scene from Gene makes reference to it too.
because it was discovered he paid a witness to help condemned a rapist, she used the money to buy drugs and died of a heroin overdose, leaving behind a 10yo daughter so he paid her cos he felt responsible for her. Paying a witness to testify 'x' thing is illegal, that's why he was suspended

Barba was suspended because he was paying a girl named ashtoja because her mom was on drugs and she died from it so Barba was helping her and her grandmother out and basically he was paying her for sex(not with him with other men) and Willard was blackmailing Barba into doing it and he was suspended in the episode "know it all"
