Great video. Good to see an honest run down of whats important. Full time van life isnt easy. Many people underestimate the commitment required. Keep it up! 👍
Thanks for your comment! It's a fact that most UA-camrs only post the beautiful side of vanlife as it is a catch up view for the channel. Nice beaches, mountains, et.c but vanlife is much more than that, specially if you have a "normal" job. Viewers also need to keep in mind that probably 90% of people they see or follow on UA-cam or Instagram don't really do vanlife. Bet most of them live in houses and shoot some videos during the weekends 😅 ✌️ ❤️ 🕉️
New sub. I’ve been looking into van life for sometime as renting is becoming unaffordable for me. Most of the van life channels seem to be in it for the subs and views which equals money! Nice to see a normal guy doing a video.
@@sammyj3048 thanks 🙏 think a honest approach to the vanlife reality and not only it's a must. Lots of people try to dive into vanlife and end up giving up even during van build which is more common than most think. That's related mostly with the hassle of building a van accordingly with the pro builds people watch on UA-cam. Cost of living is through the roof, believe you're in the UK 🤔 but not only, got friends allover Europe and we're all suffering from the same! Thank you for subscribe to the channel! Any questions feel free to ask! 🙏🕉️
@@SimonErrington-v3e great! At least she has company when you're not around! How are you dealing with it? Is it easy to have the parrot as a pet in the van? Just subscribed to your channel ✌️🕉️
anyone who says they're "comfortable alone" has never experienced being truly alone- they always have family support and/or friends they are in contact with regularly. They're hypocrits.
@@vanliferaw then don't say "you need to be comfortable alone" if you're not alone yourself & don't know what it's like to be alone- while that is a common cliche advice given by people in modern times, it is hypocritical / ignorant / unselfaware. A more accurate thing to say would be "you need to have enough family & friends in regular contact so that you don't feel alone." - that would be a far wiser, more accurate, & self-aware thing to say that actually helps people. Because as you admit, it's impossible to be entirely alone all the time- it's not in our DNA.
Well I can let you know that even having friends and or family they're not always available for you to be with as people have their own lives. Also, depending on the van lifestyle that you want to have, your contact with people will be more or less likely to happen. Not all people live vanlife the same way. Also not all people are good socialising and or do friends easily. So as you can see there are several outcomes from vanlife. And yes, you have to be prepared to be alone and feel lonely because that's going to happen either you have or not family and friends. Please share your personal experience. More than happy to listen to it. 🙏🕉️
@@vanliferaw none of that negates the fact that having family and/or friends to be in regular contact with is not "being alone". Being alone is having no contact with any human weeks, months or even years, even by phone or text. No one can do that. Please wise-up & be careful with your comments. Being alone is different to what you describe as being alone.
@@MichelleCameron definitely do, they're not very silent 😶 I have mine fitted inside the van by the sliding door step. I'll probably make a "tour" of my van build this weekend and you will see it 🙏 🕉️ P.S. I sleep quite well with it on

How do you find the noise from a diesel heater? Would anyone outside the van hear it?
