- The World Of Light was such an interesting mode, but I think everyone's favourite moment was the intense intro where all but one character was captured by main antagonist Galeem.
While Kirby was the sole survivor of this event, I wanted to see what other characters could survive such a disaster (implying that they can) if given the chance, and possible escape methods they could use.
Bare in mind, these are all theories and based on observation.
But Regardless, I hope you all enjoy the video.

I intend on making a second video on the subject. If there's any other ways characters can escape or stop the World Of Light from happening, reply to this.
Not sure if this would be a good one and forgot if you said this but could Zelda imprison someone in the dark world/sacred realm?
Waluigi would survive because just like Sakurai, Galeem would ignore him completely
You do realise that even when simplifying everything. Characters such as Sonic and Sora can survive in all the ways you mentioned and make sure everyone can survive. They both are easily FTL, can teleport (or even just travel across dimensions), can become invincible, can either manipulate or have complete control over time and space, will always help out when the situation calls for it and can just simply kill or get rid of Galleem as they did so to literal Gods and can ACTUALLY fight back against Galleem's attack in many ways (such as becoming invincible for as long as they have wanted, can manipulate the energy entirely and simply use blasts that can pretty much do the exact same thing as Galleem's attack.
So basically Galleem might not of even been a problem if Shulk just told either Sonic, Sora, Bayonetta and Joker (others like Ganon and Sephiroth can help and do the same, but they won't do it for all the characters because they are 😈) instead of just looking at everyone and saying nothing.
HOLD IT. I just realized invincibility works… Look at wii fit trainer she survives for longer because invincibility frames… So just give everyone invincibility
UPDATE:
Kazuya might be able to dodge out of the way of beams.
Note the keyword "MIGHT". Scaling him to Heihaci might give him the speed needed to dodge?
But without legit teleporting, and with slow flight he has a very minimal chance to escape. Grazing the lines of characters with no chance.
Sora, on the other hand, has a much more likely chance to survive.
Sora and other KH characters frequently dodge light speed attacks, he scalies to those who have even much surpassed the speed of light, his trusty Gummi Ship literally travels to other worlds (which in-game are set up like their own solar systems), also I'm not sure if this would help. But Stopga may be able to give him just a little more time, much like Mega Mans Time Stopper or Bayonettas Witch Time.
I would put him in the most likely to survive category.

Sonic could also use the chaos control (like in sonic adventure 2) to flee by teleportation, couldn't he ?

Nice video, but I'd like to bring up for Sonic that his Smash iteration is different from his canon counterpart (and this applies towards every character in Smash in general unless their games bring up the events of Smash), and as such the FTL feats that canon Sonic has been stated and shown to be at can't be applied to Smash Sonic.
This is mainly because of a Smash trophy for Super Sonic in Smash 4, which states that he "can fly at NEARLY the speed of light". And since, naturally, Sonic in his base is a lot slower than his Super Form, this would make Smash Sonic not capable of being able to reach the speed of light.
We mainly assume that crossover characters aren't linked to their canon selves, even if they've been shown to experience the same events - so whilst Canon Sonic would definitely be able to get away if he had the Emeralds (or hell, even tank the beams and kill Galeem since he has the durability in his Super form to do so), Smash Sonic wouldn't have survived even if he didn't choose to save Pikachu AND had his version of the Emeralds on him.
TL;DR -
Canon Sonic? Would've been able to outrun the beams in his base, but would've run out of places to run and the beams would've caught up to him anyway since they spread across the whole universe (and he doesn't have the durability to tank them).
Canon Super Sonic? Would've easily escaped and is capable of withstanding the beams and killing Galeem.
Smash Sonic? No chance whatsoever, even with his emeralds due to not having FTL feats/statements.
That is very true. A lot of balancing was made so everyone could reasonably fight one another.
But for this (and other smash hypotheticals) I’m assuming the smash characters have their full arsenals and their full strength.
It isn’t just Sonic that’s nerfed by Smash’s own rules. Bayonetta, Kirby, Sora, etc.
@@justjeffrey5941 I see, I just assumed you were using canon feats without knowing that the Smash versions of characters are (typically) weaker than their canon selves, but I guess you already knew that lol
And yeah, I know it isn't just Sonic that is affected by this, but I brought him up in particular since he's the one I know the most about.

And he has the awakener chip which lets mega man use infinite weapon energy.
What about time travel because Kirby disappears all together and only comes back after everything is destroyed so he could have time traveled. Some one that could also do this is sonic like in sonic 06 where he can go to past and future with the chaos emeralds. Please add this section
For a while, I did consider the Time Travel option. It would be a surefire way to survive the attack. If I ever remake the list, I might consider adding that option.
There are those who can alter time like Sora, Megaman, and Bayonetta, but that's different.
Also, the Warp Star's never been used like that. It's more than likely used to travel a light or warp speed (given the name), and Time Travel with Chaos Emeralds is possible. But requires two users.
Currently, the people I see escaping with that option include Young Link, Sora, and strangely enough Mario and Bowser (Don't ask how they just did).
@@justjeffrey5941 Chaos control has been done singularly, and can also reverse, stop and slow time and teleport. Blame Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic 06 for these. The only things known to have stopped/reversed chaos emeralds are the Master Emerald, Phantom Ruby and Knuckles (Sonic 3. Not a lie) with both Knuckles and Infinite, the phantom ruby holder, being turned into spirits. So durability for Super Sonic would be reliant on dodging beams. And to do a time revearsal, he needs to be in super form. But for slowing time and teleportation, only a fake emerald at the least is needed. Yet again, using SA2 and 06 as evidence, since Sonic induces the teleportation chaos control with a fake emerald in SA2 and Shadow's roundhouse kick to Silver's head used the slow time chaos control in 06

Mega man could use the double gear system to slow down time.Plus mega man has the neo double gear fan
The fith method has a sub category, contacts with people FROM other dimentions who can do it, Ryu,pacman,samus,zss and dark samus survive with the help of the legend/john jones (but jones would probably not help ryu because he eliminated his buddy peely)
greninja, pikachu and red get saved by either necrozma and the sm protag, the aether foundation or the ultra-recon squad who have acces to other realities

Yup.
Chaos Control...it's weird, it's full of all kinds of different uses.
In somecases, it's used to slow down or stop time. They can also be used to time travel, but only when two people do it together.
In other cases it's said to warp space to allow users to teleport.
But regardless, either method would give Sonic another method of dodging the Beams of Light.

Super Sonic is more then capable fighting Galem or could send it across the galaxy with chaos control

True, but it's not as simple as that, and these reasons were another reason why I didn't add the "Kill Galeem" option.
1. Sonic has killed gods.
But had to use very context-sensitive artifacts like the seven rings (Secret Rings) and the fully powered Excalibur (Excalibur Sonic). As they were gone after their boss battles. Sonic can't use them again.
2. Sonic has defeated some god-like beings with Super Sonic.
But in every case where it had power comparable to Galeem (like Egg Salamander or Solaris), he had help from other equally powered supered friends like Shadow, Silver, and Blaze. All of whom he can't rely on when he's by himself.
3. Galeem's potential is unknown.
By that I mean, while Galeem does possess incredible power. There's no context given whether he's more or less powerful than the folks he's fought. And consider weaklings like Pichu and Olimar can take him on by themselves. I'm pretty sure Smash doesn't care about real characters' stats.

What if they dig underground and close the hole? The light didn't consume the earth, so if you got under the earth, you could survive.

How about another episode that it’s the same topic but instead of the actual characters what about other characters in other ways
Something like mii costumes assist trophies and bosses
I’ll give you a example The Dragonborn could use the Elders scrolls to go through time or use one of the black books to go to oblivion
Since I don't really like this video much, a second episode/remake is being considered... I currently don't see any bosses escaping, and Mii costumes are...questionable depending on how you wanna look at their costumes.
On the other hand, some assist trophies do have a fair shot like Nightmare or Shadow, and some items like giving anyone a warp star or Dragoon pieces will certainly help.
In terms of bosses, it's worth noting that Marx survived falling into a clockwork star that than immediately exploded (Marx Soul isn't canon so he didn't die and thsn get revived.)
It'd assume an explosion from a clockwork star, something built by The Ancients whom are likely some of the strongest characters in Kirby since they likely helped seal Void if we assume one of them was a Hero of Yore, likely were involved in stopping the Galactic Crisis Hyness mentioned, built clockwork stars and even sealed away Galacta Knight, would be at least on the same level as Galleem's beams.
