The Embers Rekindled mod for Minecraft is a mod that adds ancient machines to dig up ember fuel from bedrock and process it to grant all sorts of forgotten powers and capabilities! It's very dwarfy feeling automation! This mod is very much like the original Embers mod but with a lot of updates and fixes bringing it to the latest versions of Minecraft.

The alchemy stage is where this mod starts to lose me. I love some of the possible results from it, and I don't mind doing some manual crafting to get some of them. Thing is, it's nontrivial to automate it, and you'd want an alter and laser for every single product you'd automate.

I think the system that forces you to experiment is kinda neat

I too like that part. Just that it's hard to automate it once you have experimented. The effort for the second itteration is almost as high as the first.

the field chart reminds me a bit of a thing from thaumcraft 5 and 6... very cool
kind of makes me wonder if we'll get some mildly fucked up device that'll concentrate ember from the surrounding region to whatever chunk it's in...
