Kris Jenner Reveals Health Scare to Family
Kris Jenner, the 68-year-old matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, revealed emotional news to her family during a recent episode of “The Kardashians.” While in Aspen, she informed daughters Kim, Khloé, and Kendall about a significant medical procedure she needs.
Kris shared, "I went to the doctor and had my scan. They found a cyst and a little tumor on my ovary." She mentioned that her doctor recommended removing her ovaries. "I'm just really emotional about it because they came in handy with you guys," she added.
Kris, who has six children from her marriages to Robert Kardashian and Caitlyn Jenner, expressed her feelings about the surgery. "I'm emotional because that's where all my kids were conceived and grown. It's a very sacred place to me," she said.
The family, including Kris’s boyfriend Corey Gamble, discussed the situation over the phone with Kourtney Kardashian. "I'm getting surgery because I have a tumor on my ovaries, so they're going to remove them," Kris explained.
Kim sympathized with her mother, expressing her sadness and understanding. "To have surgery and remove your ovaries is a really big deal. I feel sad for her," she said.
Kris reassured her daughters, stating she wasn’t nervous about the procedure. "I'm not nervous to be put to sleep. I'm not nervous with Dr. A - she's the best doctor in the world. But then you go to do it, and it’s so real," she said.
Kourtney related to her mom’s emotions, saying she understood why Kris felt sentimental. Kendall also acknowledged the emotional impact but emphasized the importance of health. "If they're potentially hurting you, let's get them out of there," she stated.
Despite the heavy topic, the family ended their vacation on a positive note. Kris was cheered up by Gamble, who gifted her a new black winter coat, bringing a smile to her face.
The moment was previously teased in the trailer for “The Kardashians” Season 5, highlighting Kris’s ongoing health journey, including her hip replacement in 2022. Her mother, MJ Campbell, is a breast cancer survivor, which has inspired Kris to advocate for cancer awareness.
