Good video. Spend $12 more and replace the oil pressure sending unit. Once the starter is out, you have easy access to that part. In fact, some oil leaks maybe misdiagnosed as the rear main seal.
what kind of extension and socket did you use to reach the final bolt (the one above the starter)? I'm having trouble reaching it. I'm using 2 ton jack stands, so the car itself is lifted 3ft above the ground.
A bunch of people asked what tools are needed (I came here looking for the same info) and no answer. I can't take my whole tool set with me to the dead car so I need to know what to bring!
shot in the dark but if my wipers work horn works and radio still blasts but the car just wont do anything when the key is turned no nothing no clicking nothing..do all fingers point at the starter?
They are the two that attach the starter to the transmission. You can clearly see the bottom one in the video. The other is on top. Thanks for watching 🙂

Great video except one thing, you forgot to say what size sockets you need to take them bolts off. So I'm giving my like and a score of 90%.
13mm and 15mm
Very Good Job with this video. Thanks

Robert Fuentes-Real Estate six inch extension and I think it was a deep 6-point socket.

Is this from underneath the car? and is that the transmission right next to it?
Sam Tonche exactly
Sam Tonche of course it's the transmission right next to it!😂
I don't know of any car that the starter isn't close to the trans

Is this a 2.2 ecotec? Because I'm in the same boat with the same car, and it's the holidays. I really need to fix this car.

I remove the bottom bolt last. I like my front teeth. So it goes back in first.

For the love of all that is holy, disconnect the battery before attempting this
I know right? Disconnecting the negative line isn't going to do much if you become the ground lol.
