Main Sequence sadly will not get to defend his BC Turf crown as he's been retired from racing with a tendon injury. Hadn't really looked the same horse this season that dominated at the end of last season anyway, IMO.
Shock of the night for me, seeing Main Sequence of all horses actually fly past a beast like Flintshire.. could not believe it.. I thought to myself 'I must know sh*t about horse racing after this' - I just hope whatever this horse has been pumped with is legal.. actually, even Lasix can't be good for the breed and on nights like this, it creates and unfair playing field, even if other horses do have the choice.. but I guess it's the risk they take in taking on horses on the juice.. - to conclude, Main Sequence is a revelation in the States but I promise you he would Not reproduce that form back in Europe.. it's impossible.. Do you really think he could have touched Treve in the Arc? No chance..
That's the Horse of the Year, right there. He was a moody bugger in Europe, but very talented. Gelding him has made all the difference.

The conditions were perfect for Flintshire and I thought he was a certainty. I'm as baffled by this result as you.
+Lee SOG Not a shock at all, Flintshire is ungenuine and waits for something to beat him. In England we call that sort of horse a Shithouse.
Flintshire was brilliant. Glad to have one of his fillies 'soul heir' she will be a grass champion like her daddy
